Description
This is Dark Family History!

Explore an abondoned family home and unearth the events that lead to their deaths.
Survive long enough to make it back home.

The level takes place in 3 stages:

Stage 1 (Home):
Explore the house and survive phantoms.
The high pitch stings signal that the house has changed.
If your stuck throughly explore new areas and returen to previous areas to see if anything has changed.

Stage 2 (Run):
What do you want me to say?
Just run!
You won't survive otherwise.

Stage 3 (Escape):
Fight waves of shadow men as you drive away from the property.
Use the gun to kill them out all six windows.
They can pass strait through the car so be quick.

Easter eggs:
-Phantom Class (Hidden button on first floor)
-Staff (Hidden button on roof)

Glitches:
The only know glitch is one where the mutant ghost will repeadedly teleport between two locations creating a ghostly effect. (Left in because it's super cool) (Hope it works in the published version)

Music:
-Living in the Dark by Myuu
-Nebula by Myuu
The rest I don't know.

I would love to hear your feedback....

Yes I know it's dark, that's kind of the point.

the protagonist seems to drive very slowly even after having to shoot up a ghost and beat up a mutant

It's clear you've put some effort into the scripts. That's the map's strongest point. I appreciate it. But that darkness... The level design clearly needs some improvement. Some details are really hard to spot, like that man in the tree. I could just see his legs. Then there are those huge empty spaces and randomly placed objects in some places. It all detracts from the atmosphere. If you want to keep the map as dark as it is, all you need is more lighting in some places to highlight details (the man in the tree, for example). The lighting shouldn't be overly harsh, but it shouldn't be too dim either. Anything to maintain the atmosphere.

Good work, I think you can take this idea to a high level. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past 60 ghosts. The chapter with the car is too long, and those ghosts crawling through the car are really annoying. :steamfacepalm:

So glad you enjoyed.
And so happy the flickering glitch stayed in the published version.
No idea what caused that but it really does fit perfectly.

Thanks for the feedback! (:

Holy cow! Unpacked the map only to find I already know everything in it?!
Fine, you creative geniuses—I’m so coming for you all! Let’s go!!!

Holy moly!! Did Einstein possess you or something? The mechanisms in this map are absolutely next-level—walk into certain spots and the whole scene transforms! And that monster flickering like a ghost… you must’ve spent ages grinding this, right?! The atmosphere is also seriously on point. It feels like you’ve played a ton of horror games to nail a vibe this good!!!
