You don't know how to transfer saves from Xbox or EGS version of DS to Steam version? You tried to simply copy-paste EGS version save files to Steam version save folder and you notified about error and corrupted save files? Then this is the place for you.

1. If you have the EGS version of the game, then you go to "C:\Users\Your username\AppData\LocalLow\KojimaProductions\DeathStranding" and make a backup of the saves folder (usually it will be called some random ID).

2. Next, you go to the folder with the DS Steam version files - it should be located along the path: "Your path\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common". In the folder, find the file "ds.exe" and make a backup of it.

1. Install Notepad++ if you don't have it by any chance.
2. Launch Notepad++.
3. Go to Plugins -> Manage Plugins -> Search for the XEX-editor plugin and install it. (Follow the screenshots below)

1. Open the folder with the Steam version of DS back, select the same ds.exe and click "Open with Notepad++".
2. Plugins -> HEX editor -> View in HEX
3. Press “CTRL + F” and select “Replace”.
4. In "Find what": 75 05 41 C6 46 3A 11 48 8D 8D
5. In "Replace with": EB 05 41 C6 46 3A 11 48 8D 8D
6. Click "Replace" twice. Save (CTRL + S)

1. Go to the folder we backed up earlier. There should be folders inside, as in the screenshot below.



2. Copy all the folders and go to the path "C:\Users\Your username\AppData\Local\KojimaProductions\DeathStrandingDC". Paste them with replacement into the folder located along this path (it will also be called a set of numbers).
3. Launch the game in Steam.
4. Select "Load save" in the menu and click on the save you need (at this stage, you should see the transferred saves).
5. Click "OK" on all notifications about possible errors in the files and wait until the game reformats the saves. To speed up this process in the future, play a little and save so that the save is in the DK version format.
