You're probably looking at the steam page for the new Lightfall Expansion. You just saw the trailer of the witness obliterating the original destiny team. There's a new ability for guardians to use that looks amazing.

And then you start playing the glorified tutorial they call a campaign. You're introduced to a whole new place on Neptune, which they explain little to nothing about. The whole area is barren of anything and there is no incentive to explore because the map is so small. you'll go 3-4 missions all in the same spot, but for different reasons.

The Cloud Striders are also introduced to us as Neptune's version of guardians, and as cool as that sounds, they don't really matter because they end up adding nothing to the story.

The new ability, Strand, is interesting, but the tutorial for that ability is painfully long. And when I mention tutorial, I mean the campaign. I don't remember any moments in the campaign other than the moments they literally chain you down and FORCE you to use Strand, all while nerfing you for story's sake.

Don't get me started on Osiris. He's constantly in your ear telling hand holding you while you play the tutorial, he even introduces a tutorial for the tutorial.

I literally never write reviews for games, but this was so exceptionally horrible I had to go out of my way to do this. Now i'm down $50

This game has such great potential. It's a mix of a top down shooter and a classic tower defense game along with the complexity of a an RTS. Even though it is currently a work in progress build, the replay value of this game has had me playing hours on end and left my feelings of boredom completely sated.

I am also in love with the graphics because not only are the maps are all procedurally generated, but there is such an abundance in floral and geographical variety so no play through is the same. The creature designs (especially the gnerot which is my personal favorite) are also simply amazing and I have high hopes for newer designs to come.

Those however, are just some of the few things I've thoroughly enjoyed as there is so much more than a single post can describe, but whether your're a strategist looking for a challenge or someone trying to kill time with seemingly endless destruction, I highly recommend this game to you.

its a really fun game that has a great deal of diversity in charactors and playstyles. even though its still in the early access phase it is a great game and will get better and i recommend this game to anyone who loves fast-action games and having fun.
