I’d imagine the meeting for this game went something like this:

‘So would you like killer robots, swarming bugs, tactical alien squids, cinematic explosions, blistering lasers or behemoth space ships, sir?’

‘Yes’

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. I ask myself why I'm playing it as I run through bloodied hallways from a screaming psycho with a drill puppet.

10/10 end up playing again.

✅My go to game when I want jump right into straight-to-the point, fast and satisfying FPS action.

🔫Tonnes of weapons already available and they add more here and there.

🤖Different classes available too, with a challenge requirement to unlock them.

💯Very polished game, I hardly run into bugs, so much so that I can't think of the last time I did.

📈 Decent amount of levels (and secret levels), fun enemies and bosses that get harder and trickier as you go on,

🗺 Rewards exploration

🤼 Has 2-player CO-OP!

Definitely recommend if you like rogue-likes and FPS games! ¹⁰∕₁₀

Haven't played too far into the game, but It's pretty much what it says in the title. Beautiful looking game, a mix between chill drives and stressful mechanic management (energy, air filters, batteries, fuel, etc). There are different difficulty levels, and if you're more after a 'driving' experience over 'driving and repairing', I recommend tinkering with the custom game mode. Great game to play while listening to a podcast (most of the time).

The only real negative thing I can say about this game is that it's spoilt other space games for me. No others compare. No Man's Sky is truly epic in scale and opportunity.

It has its fair share of bugs and jank here and there, but it is overflowing with content, from things to do, build, discover and decorate. It is a stunning games, and at times, produces vistas so beautiful they could be desktop wallpapers.

I've played this game since its release, originally on ps4, and now on PC. I've seen it grow and change, and it definitely has come far. If not for the game itself, recognise the pure passion the team has put into this game.

EDIT: Holy ****! They added walkable, co-op compatible ship interiors! Ships you can build piece by piece, like Starfield! GOATED game

I've only played this game for 50 mins and I already love it. Takes a few minutes to wrap your head around the controls, but once you do, there are so many combinations and possibilities for smart and awesome plays.

The mix between beating up your opponents, switching between your team mate and getting a good pass in - all while trying to play ball, is a great chaotic mix that can leave you on the edge of your seat.

You'll get heaps of replayability out of this one, with not only a rogue-lite campaign, but also an endless and versus mode, all with a bunch of modifications, robots and maps available.

Beautiful graphics and aesthetic, kind of reminds me of stop motion lego animation on a cinematic level.

Fantastic game for some solo or local co-op fun. Definitely recommend.

I’d just like to acknowledge first that this was made by one person - so despite my review, this is a great achievement of a game for a solo dev.

This is more of a MIXED review than a positive review, but since there is no mixed option and although I don’t feel this game is quite up to scratch yet, I will leave it as recommended since it still delivers on what it promises and can have its fun moments, although it’s price tag may exceed its content value at the time being.

The pros:

-Good looking visuals and sense of life. The rendering of the game looks quite nice in the Unity Engine, and the overall futuristic aesthetic is vibrant and eye-catching, with dozens of billboards, streams of traffic and little pockets of life.

-Voice acting from customers is fun and entertaining and makes the city feel bustling and full, despite some repetitions in lines. It adds to the retro aesthetic from its predecessor, Crazy Taxi.

-The delivery gameplay. The actual gameplay loop of picking up passengers and delivering them to their (often rudely) requested locations is spot on. It works just like Crazy Taxi, with the additional verticality. Although it can be a bit daunting at first figuring out where exactly you need to go, but you’ll quickly find your way through the skyline.

The cons:

-Lack of audio settings. The game offers no way of mixing audio levels, or On/Off buttons for music and sound effects.

-The reversing and elevation shifting are slow. When I find myself at the wrong level or just a bit off, awkwardly trying to turn around with the clunky reverse and slow elevation shifting really takes you out of the fast paced rhythm of the game. Reversing should allow for quick sharp turns, and being able to elevate or drop at quick speeds seems vital in a game that relies on verticality and a fast paced tempo.

-City repetition. Although this is a minor note, it would be nice to see more variation to the overall city as I find myself getting lost in the overall blend.

Things that would be nice to have:

-Drifting or rolling. Currently making sharp turns in Mile High Taxi is not possible, and feels like such a maneuver could save a lot of in-game countdown time.

-Traffic collision. I will say that currently there is already a lot to bump into in this game, so I could see why the developer may have chosen to leave this out, but it would be a cool challenge if traffic collision was an in-game option.

-Some sort of ranking system, like a D-S class rank, or a level up bar.

Overall this game has a lot of potential, but right as this moment feels like it’s lacking in a few departments and could do with a bit of a beef up before I completely recommend it. I’d recommend buying this one on sale with where it is at at the moment. Looking forward to see what the developer brings next.

Early Access Review
2025 EDIT: I haven't played this game for a fewof years until today, and a lot of the progression seems to have been reworked. I'm personally not a fan of the new way, it feels too complicated.
The actual runs themselves, however, are still the great gameplay-loop, with even more content added to the mix. My main gripe with the levels is that sometimes in the beginning, the amount of 'spectrals' or 'player-ghosts' is just so much its hard to see.

The temples do get a little repetitive despite the proc gen tech behind it - but the competitive aspect of being 'the first to clear the temple' is a good drive and motive. The gameplay is smooth and using the whip to get that life saving hook onto a platforms edge can be really satisfying and heart pounding. Although only three at the moment, the bosses add an awesome dynamic 'ticking time bomb' mechanic in certain areas, really pressuring the player to either progress forward or avoid fatal attacks. The music that comes in at certain points or when bosses arrive is fantastic in my opinion and really adds a layer of heat as it proceeds to get more intense the closer the boss gets to you.

Over all, really great game to boot up here and there to try and beat a temple! Looking forward to seeing what this game becomes during it's early access development.

Edit: Great to see the devs releasing the 'Overturned' update, adds a bunch of new challenging and spinning rooms (literally). Fantastic to see new content coming in. Even after almost 10 hours of playing this game, I still always find it a thrill to jump back in and beat the next temple.
