Fan-bloody-tastic. More monsters, more trains, more everything!

If you loved the first game, you'll love this one even more. If you didn't love the first game, you're obviously someone who doesn't exist.

Early Access Review
Me 15 minutes in: This game is pretty dumb.

10 hours later: This game is really dumb, and I love it.

You can buy gallons of horse jizz and lace it with your drugs. If that doesn't equate to an immediate purchase I don't know what does.

As someone who grew up with the greats of CRPGs that put this genre on the map, as well as being a life long fan and player of D&D I was both excited and worried about this announcement. I'd been silently hoping for a return to the series since BG2 came out.

My primary worry was that whilst I loved Larian's catalogue I didn't want BG3 to essentially be Divinity 3 with a BG theme, I bought on Early Access day 1 so I could follow the development with interest.

My concerns melted away over the course of Early Access and I am very happy to say that this game is without question a masterpiece of game design, respect for a legendary series, deep, technical and everything one could ever ask for. This is a game that deserves all of its praises and the developers have shown time and again they not only respect the license and the love so many have for these games but that they also respect the players. None of this modern game design BS that's designed to take money from you, no predatory micro-transactions, no abandonment, no live service nonsense, just a great video game pure and simple.

This is what the industry needs to be. Buy the game.

One of the best stories ever written and told, berks and cutters the world over sing the praises of this masterpiece for good reason. Experience the world of Planescape, the madness of Sigil, the Outlands and the deep darkness and mystery of The Nameless One and his story.

If you read this and are not convinced, I'll have you entered into the dead-book.

Great roguelike, very tactical. After playing for about 2 hours I immediately went on to buy the DLC and I've been enjoying the hell out of it even more. You are the bad guys, and like Dungeon Keeper, it's good to be bad.

It's not as randomly "screw you" like Darkest Dungeon can be, highly recommend it.

Any fan of classic isometric RPGs will love this.

Along with Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale uses AD&D2,0 as it's base, this game is less story or character driven though and focuses much more on combat. You do not play one character as the core protagonist and recruit new allies as you play -- you build your team and they are thrown into the game already a complete party.

I found this game to be much harder than BG1 and 2, but still extremely enjoyable, without specific tactics to cheese the game I would say your party absolutely requries at least one Cleric heavily built towards healing and buffs and one caster focused on area effect spells (I used a sorcerer).

This game is still fantastic, but don't be afraid to resort to EEkeeper or debug mode to make life a little easier. It's always been the case that these game have a very high skill celing, don't be discouraged if you get stuck. EEKeeper will give you a massive leg up if you find yourself completely stuck somewhere by allowing you to spawn in items, spells, class points, attributes, proficiencies and everything else you can think of and enabling debug mode will also allow you heal your party at any time you wish.

My party was as follows;

Half Orc - Archer (almost priceless in this game)
Half-Elf - Sorcerer
Half-Elf - Bard
Human - Cleric
Dwarf - Dwarven Defender
Halfling - Swashbuckler (lots of traps in game, so put all your theif point into this to be honest)
