I'm really enjoying this game! It's interesting rushing to put pieces next to each other when you see that they're animating at the same time, and then moving bigger chunks of the pattern into the correct places. The ability to select multiple pieces at once, and the ability to mark pieces, are both very helpful for the bigger grids. My favourite level is Planet. I can do a 5x5 grid if I want a 1 minute game, or a 10x10 grid if I want a 15 minute game. The only thing I don't like is the music. It often sounds like a small chunk of a song was cut and pasted into a short loop, so it's unsatisfying and very repetitive. But you can mute the music and listen to something else. Anyway, great puzzle!

I'm honestly shocked how much I'm enjoying this game lol. I didn't play Hollow Knight, and I'm not normally very good at combat or platforming. But I really like exploring, and there are lots of quests and cute characters, and lots of opportunities to improve at skills. And you're never stuck doing one thing over and over since there are lots of places to go all the time. Any time you get to a new area and the enemies are really hard, it's usually a matter of practising fighting them and learning their patterns, rather than running away, and then it feels do-able again. And it feels so rewarding to beat a tough boss or enemy rush! I like feeling like I'm constantly improving, and being rewarded with new abilities and new places to explore. 60 hours in I've just gotten to Act 2, so I'm definitely not the fastest, but I'm having a great time!

Early Access Review
It's a simple game with a few different game modes: click on all the things; click on specific things as they're requested; click on things by category. I find the second one the hardest, and the first one the most relaxing!

I don't know if it's my eyesight or my monitor, but some things are completely invisible to me, like a black spider on a black tree. I wish there was a way to turn off certain items from being able to appear in the game. That being said, I like that an obvious popup appears when you mouse over an item, and I like that if you're thinking for too long, a circle appears around an item you're looking for.

The easy/medium/hard selector only determines how many items there are to find. You still have to find the difficult items in easy mode, like the very tiny jewelry items.

I have another suggestion for the devs: I think it would be very satisfying if, once you finish a level, you have the option of watching all the items disappear quickly from the level in the order in which you found them. Just like as a little reward. :)

I loved the worlds within worlds puzzles, and that I didn't need to look up any guides but it was still a challenge, and that no words were used to tell me either what to do or how the game works. I also really enjoyed the strange insecty otherworldly art. It was very fun and very satisfying! Also, I only needed the arrow keys and the spacebar for the whole game, no memorizing what button does what. Great puzzle game! I finished it in 5 hours over a whole bunch of sessions.

I love this game so much! You translate between 5 different languages and form connections between 5 different groups of people, and you figure out what the words mean through observation, puzzles, conversations etc. So much fun! I got super obsessed with this game for the few days I was playing it, and forgot to eat a few times lol.

I wish it had occurred to me that I didn't have to confirm the definitions in the journal. Not confirming things would I think make it "hard mode" and you'd have to use your guesses about the definitions, and it would be really interesting I think. Unfortunately I won't really be able to replay it until I wait a few years and have forgotten everything lol.

(There are some non-translating parts of the game, like stealth areas. Those parts are not my favorite, however I think they make good pacing. The game would be way too quick otherwise.)

Highly recommended!

A subdued thumbs up. This game has a really neat concept and interface, and the audio design is really good, and I always love a time loop story! I like how new info is revealed as you go along, and it's up to you how much listening and investigating you want to do.

There are two major drawbacks that are keeping me from being more enthusiastic about my recommendation:

1) The tutorial is not skippable, even if you've played and completed the game already.

2) The ending is very unsatisfying. I have chosen two totally different things for my final decision, and both times, it cut straight to the credits, like that final decision didn't matter.

Also there were times when I couldn't figure out what to do and ended up using a walkthrough, but I'm not sure if that's just me being too impatient and not thinking it through.

All that being said, I really like the idea of listening to different streams of audio that happen in realtime, and finding and recording the relevant bits to influence the different speakers. And I really like that there are captions, because I have some audio processing difficulties and the captions made it so I didn't have any trouble understanding anything. (There were a bunch of spelling errors in the captions though.)

Considering what I paid for it, I think it's very well done, with some nice foreshadowing and interesting reveals. (I paid $5 for the Itch version which came with the Steam version included.)

This game is so good! The levels are very short, so you can do lots very quickly, which feels great. There are generally multiple levels available, so if you get stuck, you can try a different level. After you've made your way through several worlds, you can go back to levels you had skipped previously and find that you understand them now!

The way the concepts are presented, without tutorials or explanation but just by seeing what happens when you experiment, really works for me. The way you can be inside a box that's inside itself, and therefore effect both the box you're in and the box surrounding it at the same time, is super interesting and engaging. And occasionally things happen that are disorienting at first until you figure it out.

I would compare this to something like Baba Is You, except that Baba Is You got too hard for me very quickly, whereas with Patrick's Parabox I've done over 100 levels and I don't feel completely stuck yet. Very cleverly designed and fun!

Note: Be sure to look at the controls in settings so you know how to undo and reset etc.

I just got this game yesterday, and it's a lot of fun, but I've already finished it! :( It took less than three hours.
(Then I left it running for a while so I'd have enough play time to rate it.)

It's a really neat toy/puzzle thing, it's very colourful and musical, and you just play around with it until you figure out what it wants from you. Kind of escape-room-ish logic but with the aesthetic of one of those variety play stations for toddlers lol.

I only had to look up one thing in a guide (in the bird level) but it was something I probably could have figured out if I'd stuck it out a little longer. It's nice that there are generally two levels available, so if you get stuck on one, you can try the other for a while and then come back.

I wish this game was 5 times as long! I really enjoyed it, and the music is really good too. I loved just trying things and seeing what happened. What a delight!

I just got to the credits! This game is so beautiful and so fun! It's basically train track switching puzzles that often require timing, but each world introduces a new interesting mechanic. A couple of times I looked at a walkthrough for puzzles I couldn't quite figure out, but for the most part it was a really nice level of challenge. I'm so glad it looks like there's a bunch more to do after the credits! The music is so lovely and cheerful. :D I couldn't get my controller to work with it so I played on keyboard and that worked out just fine. Highly recommend this game. Great puzzles, very smooth fluid gameplay, very satisfying with lots of hidden crystals to find.

This game is so lovely! The art is delightful. I really enjoyed both the soothing sorting/organising mechanic, and following the various threads, like the person's career, relationships, the nostalgic items like the toy pig and chickens, and increasing signs of ageing over time, and becoming more practical. So many elements of this game made me smile. I finished it in a little more than five hours (though not the achievements) and I intend to start it all over again because I like the process of finding a place for everything so much, and I'd like to see how differently I can do it while still following the rules. I love that there's no score and no timer, and I love how many items in the game I recognised from my own life. (Tamagotchi! Nintendo Wii! D20!) Adorable. Love it.
