About 4 hours in and I am really enjoying it. It has many of the Open World tropes that many other games in this genre have, but the weapon customization and combat is extremely fun and rewarding. I would like to see the quests a bit more fleshed out as they are mainly fetch quests so far. I look forward to playing through the rest of the game to get a full opinion.

Beware, extreme performance issues on lower to mid end computers.

I find it difficult to recommend this game in the current state of optimization. I have a GTX 1050ti with an Intel I7 and 8gb RAM and fall well above the minimum requirements. Even on the lowest settings it is impossible to run the game without massive FPS drops. I have been playing M&B since the original came out many years ago, and have owned every installment since then. I am happy to support this game and Taleworlds, but it hurts to know I can barely play this game after waiting so many years.

If you have a higher end computer you may be more successful than I at running this game. I am leaving a positive review because of the respect I have for this series.

There is so many things I can say about this game but I'll start by saying that It is absolutely amazing. I have been playing the Total War series for years and I can honestly say this is my favorite. I would say that this game is comparable to Empire Total War, however it differs on a few points. The gameplay In Napoleon is much more streamline and easy to use, both during battles and the campaign map. A large difference between Empire and Napoleon is the size of the campaign map. In the Empire campaign there are three different areas including the Americas, India, and Europe. This large scale makes the campaign as a whole more fulfilling although it is more difficult than the Napoleon campaign. In Napoleon the map is only europe and you are severely limited to what countries you can play as. Despite the small size, I have played and replayed the campaign again and again thanks to the immersive gameplay. The ground battles are more epic and high quality while the naval battles are something straight out of master and commander. I would highly reccommend purchasing this game if you are a fan of the total war series, or any RTS game.

I can tell that this game has potential, however it is very, very far from done. I purchased this game for 20$ which is steep for what you get in this stage. One of the larger issues I found is the FPS lag which comes from the texture of the grass, to fix this you have to turn the grass off which gives the world a bleak appearance. Gear is frustratingly easy to come by, i've found rooms filled with guns and ammo and have never felt as if I was surviving. Despite all the early issues, the games depth even at this stage, shows how good the game will be when it is finished. I would highly recommend you wait until the Beta or the Full game comes out.
