No reason why we do not have a good NHL game on PC.BUT This fills the void to say the least, it handles really well and the shooting is fair. Dont let the cartoon and quirkiness deter you from picking it up. They need to add a beer league multiplayer mode an fighting. At this point NHL can forget coming to PC because tape to tape has the bases covered. Game is in alpha so only more great ♥♥♥♥ to come.10/10

Lack of Content Updates: Since release, War of Rights has struggled to deliver new content at a pace that keeps the broader player base engaged. The map rotation is limited, and game modes like Skirmish become repetitive quickly. Predictable outcomes and a lack of variety mean that individual performance often feels meaningless, sapping replay value.

Developer Communication: Transparency from Campfire Games has been a persistent concern. Players rarely receive regular updates or roadmaps, leading to uncertainty about the game’s future. While features like horses, map creators, and character customization are promised, progress is slow and communication sporadic. This lack of visibility frustrates long-term supporters and makes it difficult for new or returning players to stay invested.

Technical Hiccups: Core mechanics, such as the morale/ticket system, have experienced bugs and inconsistencies. These issues undermine gameplay, especially when systems intended to encourage teamwork instead penalize players due to unreliable implementation.

Organized Groups: The most positive experiences are found in regimented, organized play, where mature leadership and historical roleplay can shine.

Public Matches: Outside these circles, the community can be overwhelming. The game’s open voice channels are often filled with mic spam, shouting, and disruptive behavior. There’s no robust way to mute all but commanders, so players are frequently subjected to a cacophony of “reddit-tier garbage.” For many, this wild mix of personalities-ranging from intense roleplayers to trolls-can be a major deterrent.

Accessibility: The steep learning curve and insular community culture make it hard for casual players or newcomers to find their footing. The prevalence of “hardcore” personalities and sometimes abrasive interactions can turn off those not already invested in the Civil War reenactment scene.
