Is it a decade's worth of improvement over coh2? Absolutely not. But the fact they came back and made another game is amazing. Graphics are the same as their decade old game, and audio is simultaneously better and worse. Probably the result of poor audio mixing and scaling. But the actual gameplay is solid coh formula, with more content than any coh in the past has released with. We have 4 very different playing factions and a battlegroup system that will only add more variety and uniqueness to the factions as more are added via their store. If you wanted the same of coh 1 and 2, you will like this. If you were hoping for something brand new and genre defining for this franchise you will be disappointed. As a side note, their decision to add in a bunch of units and nationalities from both sides beyond your normal Germans and Anglos is really cool. Can't wait to see what other cultures they add to the battlegroup system via special units.

Game runs and looks amazing, max settings on 2k res with a 2080 super average 75-90 fps. However this is with RT off. With it on my god the game is on a whole other level of good looking, but sadly is not worth the performance hit. On it will stay around 50s but easily and constantly tank to the 20s in areas where RT is most used and thus would look best, so the choppy and bad performance is not worth the visuals. Hopefully they improve optimization so that we can use RT, but more likely this will be a game we all come back to in a few years after RT becomes mainstream and playable to experience the RT quality. Story and quests are great so far. AI, mainly the civilians walking around and how police react to you when you do something illegal, is really retarded. Combat AI is fine and all the different gangs and enemies are cool. Lots of animation and some visual bugs currently though. If you wanted emergent open world gameplay you will be disappointed , this is literally witcher 3 in the future in terms of how the world interacts with you outside of missions, which is zero. So you'd probably like GTA or even fallout more for that stuff.

Head Inspector comes to booth to ask me about western spies trying to get in to cause trouble. Honest and loyal citizen I give him weird papers and notes these filthy capitalists drop off at booth before running off. Inspector has me arrested for collaberation even though I did what he wanted and stayed faithul citizen to state. bolsheviks/10 would be betrayed by my own Party again for greater good.
