"Repair required", but pressing repair does nothing

I have been looking for a PvP auto battler for a long time now, so I was so excited to try it, but that only made it much more disappointing. It's probably good for those who buy it for the roguelite experience where you die a lot and start over, getting further with every run, but I bought it for the PvP. And there, everything is decided by RNG. Either you get the things you need to win or you don't. There isn't balancing this one out, it's the very game mechanics that are the problem.

The cartoonish art style of 2D images is going to scare some people away, but I didn't mind that. The 3D models, on the other hand, look plenty good. The narrator's way of talking like the player is a 10-years old gets pretty annoying, but he can be muted in settings.

Early Access Review
There is room for so much more, but I trust the game will only grow better in time. The occasional streak of bad luck can get frustrating, but that's part of the game. Staring the last remaining guy in the eyes after the other two have been eliminated, seeing who makes the first mistake, really gets the blood pumping.

Like others have said, its an endearing puzzle game which only sin is its length. Since few story elements are only used once or twice and elements would work well when combined outside their natural genre (like when the baron gets arrested in the ballroom), one could easily triple the size of the content

The good part is the great variety in different wizard traits and races, just looking at all the choices makes you excited to play. Then the bad part is the gameplay. Increasing game difficulty increases it in all the wrong ways. Playing is mostly pressing end turn until you have enough mana and troops. Then finally in the end game, you'll make the unbeatable group and just walk from town to town until victory.

As others have pointed out, the gameplay is pretty bland. Having nuggets walk in cycles at double speed while waiting for researchs to complete was boring even though I was watching a stream on second monitor. Thanks to the graphics and colors of the game, everything on the planet looks like one colorful mess unless you zoom in extra close.

Fun concept, challenging puzzles and entertaining platforming. 20 hours to complete, so maybe it's a little short, but perhaps the user stages can bring in more content.

Yeah, no. Humor is the only thing it has, and everything gets pretty boring real fast after you reach level 50

It's an endearing trading sim with enough economic deepness, story and guests to keep you hooked. When I started playing, there were noticeable rough edges here and there, but the dev is actively listening to community and improving and patching the game, so when you encounter bugs and non-optimal features, a few written lines in Steam discussions will get your issue fixed.

The only issue I have with it is that as you progress the story, discover new cities and complete guests, you suddenly realize you have done pretty much everything, yet still crave for more. So, in a way, it's too good, too addictive for the amount of unique content it has: what we have is swell, but we need more. Late game especially, after becoming the King of Coin, would have room for extra content .
