The game itself is beautiful, it's great to run trough the forests of Pandora and all, but sadly all that is a wasted potential because of Ubisoft's storytelling. The story is incredibly boring, the dialogues are just bad like in every Ubisoft game. All of the characters seem to be autistic or something. Every single sideguest is so boring that u can just skip every dialogue and u won't miss anything.
I have heard that the expansion has a good story so I might try it at some point.

Tl:dr: beautiful game, boring story, terrible dialogues. Awesome to run around and chill.

Great campaign.

Very mid singleplayer, great multiplayer. Finally I'm having fun again playing shooters.

It's a completely different game than the one when it came out. The story and the atmosphere (with great soundtrack) is what it makes this game one of the best games made ever. Brilliant DLC with a new ending (the most depressing one) and plenty of new features added in the patches over the years. There is only one thing that's still broken and apparently cannot be fixed which is the AI of the NPCs on the streets and in the cars (just check who was responsible for the AI if you want to know why it's bad).

Didn't finish yet but it's good, maybe not as good as some of the games of that studio but definately worth playing if you're into these types of games.
