Sorry, I'm not a WASD gamer, never have been. Not being able to bind actions to keys I'm comfortable with is a show stopper. I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned in any of the reviews I read before buying the game. Very disappointed. I can't be bothered learning new finger movements for one game.

To be fair, I did see a Dev post in the forum on Nov 17 that they would be implementing this "feature" in two weeks.

Until that happens it's thumbs down for me.

While I commend Steam for paying more attention to family friendly games which was always a complaint of mine, this game should come with an explicit warning. Maybe Steam should also include an age criteria for games as well.

My 10 year old granddaughter loves my PC and plays many games I have on Steam (some she probably shouldn't be playing :-) She loves the Far Cry Series)

Recently, she's been asking me to buy games on Steam she's heard about from friends or seen through videos on her Nook.

In addition to Five Nights At Feddy's (1 and 2), Octodad was another one.

I took a look at it and it seemed kid friendly enough so I bought it but it didn't work out.

The biggest problem with this game is the controls for Octodad. They are horrible - worse than horrible. Any form of intricate control in this game is nearly impossible.

As a result she is begging me for help which I can't provide (I'm an old school normal mouse/keyboard guy). Which means the game goes in the trash because she can't get past a level and won't play it anymore.

Yes the control of Octodad is by design. The problem is that it isn't made clear on the store page that the control mechanism is extremely radical.

The game itself is fine from a story/graphics/stability perspective but certain people are not going to be able to play it period. The control mechanism is too radical.

If you're looking for a kid friendly game on Steam for your little one - I would not suggest this one.
