First tell taleish game i played and would recommend it.

Not really a game in the classical sense. More of a movie with a couple decisions, a hacking mini game and quick time events but the story was great, voice acting + music were great, writing/banter was fun and the art style was dope.

Not sure how much replayability the game has. First playthrough took me about 8 hours and i am sure that there are some branching choices. Most of them looked like 2 different options. So the pricepoint might be a bit high for the time you can spend with it. But get it if you like superheroes or its on sale and if u dont mind lots of cutscenes.

I finished the game on hard as a lasombra after 25 hours.

And am somewhat conflicted how i feel about it.

TLDR is: The gameplay is a 6/10 Story 7-8/10 depending on how much you like vampires and presentation 8/10.

The presentation is pretty top notch. Visuals are fancy. Seattle and some of the other locations u visit look great and with the music create a nice atmosphere.
The voice actors are doing a good job too. Especially the two main characters, since they are the only ones you get to know a bit better. Other characters/voice actors are enjoyable too but there just isn't a whole lot to them.

The gameplay is ok. It is like 50% exploration/traversal 25% dialogue/cutscenes and 25% fighting.
Running climbing and flying through Seatle is fun. You get notified if collectables are nearby and have a detective mode that highlights them for you.
But there aren't really any cool secrets, sidequests, characters or eastereggs to find its just about getting to point a from b (REPEATEDLY) and jumping around for collectables sake. So there really isn't much point to doing it.

Cutscenes and dialogue are fine. The mainquest story is interesting enough. You go on a bit of a time travelling (via flashbacks) mystery solving adventure which kept me entertained. Its fun seeing the characters throughout different time periods and finding out what happened to them. Although the ending is a bit disappointing.

Sidequests were a pretty big let down. Its literally just 3 different NPC's each giving you either a fetch quest a "stealth lite" quest or a combat quest repeatedly. You get some XP or other xp as rewards and veeery minor dialogue but honestly could have probably skipped those entirely. Sidequests were so samey and predictable that i honestly was shocked when ONE enemy showed up during a fetch quest.

XP is used to pick between 5 options each of 4 active skills. Of which i really only used 2. Although the passives u get where pretty useful and actually changed gameplay a bit.

Which leads me to combat. Which feels nice enough when u tear through hordes of henchmen but the melee system isn't great. You basically just have heavy and light attacks and a spamable dodge. Heavy attacks always get dodged by single enemies so dont even bother. The enemies precognition regarding heavy attacks must have lead to terrible short term memory though because whenever you move like 10 meters away from them they forget that you were there and get back to their business (mostly standing around + a bit of set patrol routes). So my gameplay devolved into picking people of with stealth kills until i get spotted then hiding around a corner and repeating it. Since enemies actually kind of pack a punch on hard.
Which is fine with enemies that you can feed on to heal but other enemies are a pain in the butt and got cheesed even harder.
So combat can feel nice but isn't great and stealth is kind of an afterthought sadly.
Bossfights aren't really different.

Not sure how much dialogue choices affect the story but i got the impression that its pretty predetermined.

To sum it up i'd really only recommend the game to people who wanna play it for the story and like vampires.
Preferably on sale.

Fun game. Or probably better described as fun interactive movie.

Presentation is great. Visuals are amazing. The world and levels they build are impressive and look great.
Voiceacting is great too. Music fit the theme too and was good.
You get dropped right into the world without much background but there is enough world building during the game to get a glimpse into a dystopian nightmare and how it influences the people that have to live in it without too much reading or exposition dumps.

Gameplay isn't as exciting however. You are a detective that mostly has a look around different crimescenes (would say around 10 well made levels) with some technical gadgets that let him turn back and freeze time to reconstruct what happened at the scene, while someone talks in your ear.
It basically boils down to using detective vision and looking at objects and people while sometimes fiddling with time.
The voiceacting and the weird setting makes it interesting but its all pretty linear and feels like you dont really have much agency.
Some clues you find unlock additional dialogue options, which is the other part of the gameplay.
You mostly talk to the person in your ear and get timed decisions between a couple of dialogue options which the game tells you influence the story from time to time.

Since i only played the game once i cant say how much they really change the story but it at least has a couple of different endings.

The one i got was pretty grim and didnt offer too much of a resolution. Cant say i am disappointed since i picked it but i dont think i am motivated to replay the game to see the different ones.

Might have a look at youtube.

So i'd recommend the game if you are fine with having an about 6 hour long vacation in a dystopian world with some action and intrigue and dont expect a first person shooter or more involved game.
Like i said in the beginning more of an interactive movie.

Just finished my first playthrough and not quite sure what to think of it.

I really loved the atmosphere the game creates with its sound design and amazing artwork.
Compared to the other World of darkness Visual Novel games its miles ahead on that.

But the story was way shorter and felt a bit railroaded. I had some moments at least where i had no clue how my dialogue choices led to certain outcomes. The ending was pretty abrupt and surprising especially when the game makes you pick your "class" shortly before it.

Cant say much about replay-ability other than it looked like it has 2 big choices and that I'm motivated to try them out.

I'd love if they could find a middle ground between longer stories with more branches and the great production value of this game.
It was a fun introduction to the whole werewolf side of things in any case and I would recommend it on sale from what i've seen so far.

I just finished my first playthrough doing most quests i could find and really enjoyed the ride.

Presentation (especially voice acting) was amazing. Writing, world building, characters, dialogue all were great too. I only had slight issues with the controls and ui. A toggle to run would have been nice and inventory management is a pain in the ass once you got a bunch of clothes. But it wasnt a big issue since you dont have to min max.

I only was involved in one fight in the game and its 80% talking to a limited cast of likable characters (mostly yourself) and revisiting people to confront them with new evidence and slowly learning more about them (and yourself) felt rewarding and fun. The cop you're playing lost his memory which makes him a blank canvas that you can customize with different thoughts like becoming a feminist or becoming obsessed with all kinds of things additionaly you get a ton of skill points to improve different stats with.

Which leads me to my biggest issue. The game felt a bit like an extended ride. Almost a movie. Im not sure how much you can actually influence the story. You can replay most of the dialogues and just pick all the options. Most skill checks can be retried once you improved in the skill or you can just savescum them (which is what i did). Most of the automatic skillchecks in dialogues seemed to succeed. But i would have to replay it to see if a character with different skills would get different checks or insights in dialogue and i just failed hidden checks.

Dont think i see the value in replaying it but would recommend the game for people who like dialogue heavy games and want one in which they can explore a very cool creative world and maybe solve a couple of crimes and mysteries along the way.

Early Access Review
I've been playing this game on and off over the last couple of years.

Really neat business simulator. With a great UI and lots of options that make building your stuff easy.
It's honestly mind boggling how a single person made such an accessible game with a nicer UI than a ton of other way more expensive games.

You got a couple of options on where you want to take your business like just doing contract work for other companies when one of your teams has some downtime. I honestly haven't tried out much of the hardware manufacturing or patenting you can do and never really got far enough in a game that i wanted to automate my sequel releases but you can scale up your company to huge levels and the game gives you the tools to do it without much micro (hiring and sequel releases can be automated and building new offices or buildings is really easy too once you got some blueprints).

I really liked how your software isn't done when you release it. You have to provide a support team for your users and have your developers fix the verified bugs and even update the software by increasing it's tech levels in these updates to increase its shelflife . And on top of that you can port it to different operating systems to reach a bigger market once something new becomes popular.

Marketing and printing of the disks can be outsourced to a publisher who gets a cut or you can hire the people and do it all yourself. And once you have the infrastructure you can keep them busy most of the time by doing contract work for other companies. They even have a digital distribution system on which you can release your competitors software for a cut of their profits.

I got to admit that i barely had any problems keeping my company afloat after the first releases so it feels a bit easy. But i only played on the default difficulty and i'd expect that the other difficulties will make it more challenging once you know what you're doing. If not there is always the workshop support which might help.

I rarely encountered any bugs in the early access stage and am really looking forward to play it with the workshop support and what ever else this mad man can come up with before the full release.
Would highly recommend for anyone interested in business simulators. Well worth the budget price.

Just finished my first playthrough and really enjoyed it.

The game started out a bit overwhelming with a bunch of characters and several dossiers on other ones you haven't even met yet. But once you get immersed into the story its hard to stop playing. The writing was what i expected after playing through night road. A well done story with interesting characters.

This game was focused a lot more on those characters and the intrigues between them and you keep on wondering what they might know/plan. Really makes me want to replay it and make different friends/choices to get more insight into their real motives and what actually happened behind the scenes.

Can't really say that the story is deeper than night road without replaying it but at least it felt like you had more influence on the story.

I liked the game mechanics being more focused on improving relationships with characters and not quite knowing what skills are being used in options. It felt a bit hard to pick options in night road with story teller mode on knowing that you got way more pips in other skills when another option might be more interesting story wise. In this you're just along for the ride and risky decisions feel more risky when you're not quite sure how your skills may affect them.

The game itself works well (it is just text after all) and i'd recommend some music in the background.
Actual playtime for my playthrough was around 7-8 hours maybe a bit less. But i feel like trying out the 2 other clans will give me another 10 hours so well worth the money imo.
