Beautiful graphics, satisfying space flight, and an unimaginably expansive galaxy. There's combat, trading, missions, gathering, exploration, politics, and even game-changing community events. If you want instant gratification, you probably won't like this. If you want a living universe with endless opportunities to learn, grow, and profit, all from the helm of a massive spacecraft, look no further.

Base game is full of strategic choices and fun game modes. DLC reshapes some features into better versions and adds fun content.

Best LAN party game I've ever played. Most fun with friends, but still good solo.

Fast-paced shooter that demands a certain level of both technical skill and strategic planning. Reminds me of Star Wars Battlefront II; you are typically a grunt with a fleshy body weak to bullets, but when you get on a kill streak or win a fight while outnumbered, it's so very satisfying.

Suffers from technological problems (unintuitive menu UI, lag spikes and stuttering, old graphics). Progression system, while expansive, is a massive grind. If you enjoy it though, maybe you drop some money to buy gold and support the devs (I haven't yet myself, and I have no association with this game).
