Remember games like Eye of the Beholder, Dungeon Master and Lands of Lore? This was clearly made by people who do. The grid based 90 degree angle real time combat is in focus here, and it's as fun as it was back in the day. There's a button to switch into a real-time-with-pause mode, I've been trying to hack it old school and I'm still having a blast. The enemy abilities and the gadget powers and weapons you get are beautifully designed to make the set piece fights dynamic and challenging.

There's puzzles and a plot as well, but this is closer to Dungeon Master than something like Legend of Grimrock 2. Just straightforward steampunk flavored raid and loot action.

This is a fun time. The Soviet era satire lands good and hard, and the great presentation made me want to play more. The main puzzle is a physics based jigsaw. It's intuitive and easy to figure out but also challenging. Even in the easier early missions I could tell I could do this better, there's skill to be attained here. Later in the game there's variation that keep things interesting.

My best experiences with the game so far are when all the wrong pieces get too close together and start to produce a disaster that you can see coming but might be incapable of stopping.

First run ended in a Soviet style failure, since I used all my foodstamps on vodka and state approved inspirational posters and videos, instead of potatoes. I'm definitely up for another run to check some of the branching storylines, and to complete the game.

I'd recommend this game to people interested in puzzle games, could work very well for variety streamers!

I'll mention that I got a free key for this game, the devs posted some on a forum I visit. This was completely unsolicited.

More entertaining than what you're doing right now.

This is a fine classic roguelike game, with a generous dash of modern game design sensibilities. It's accessible, while still being true to the roots of the genre. The upgradeable base and the randomly generated overworld are fun additions!

I'd recommend this to anyone interested in classic roguelike games.

There's so much going on in this game. If there ever was a hardcore puzzle game, this is it.
