And...everyone can take a massive sigh of relief. Well done Gearbox, you actually managed to produce, even when everyone had doubts. This DLC not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. Alloyed Collective was genuinely so much fun to play. Hope Gearbox keeps this momentum going into the future.

One of the most fun Borderlands games to date, which makes it all the more disappointing to say that I wouldn't recommend it simply because the game was only made for top to the line PCs.

Randy is going on a tirade on twitter, calling consumers delusional. According to him, expecting playable framerates on hardware that is still well within its lifespan is somehow unreasonable.

When a 5090 and a 9800x3D can not even crack 90 FPS 1% Lows on 1080 F*CKING P NATIVE, there is a problem with your game and it is sure as sh*t NOT the consumers.

Early Access Review
Abiotic Factor is a VERY fun survival game to play with friends (AND ITS STILL IN BETA!). This game's secret weapon is its unassuming nature. Once you start playing, it unleashes a barrage of pleasant surprises that will keep you hooked. Every area of the game takes EXACTLY as long as it needs to and never over-extends its welcome. Exploration is a joy. Progression is solid. Artstyle is fantastic. The game holds your hand the perfect amount, it never leaves you stranded, but never gives you too much information that you feel robbed of you 'aha' moment. It is CLEAR that this is passion project that the Devs are weaving carefully. One issue I have is that the game is poorly optimized for fps, you would assume by the graphics that this game would run insanely fast, but some graphical element is heavily holding down the performance. Another issue I've encountered is that the game will not let you connect to a host if you are not joining through LAN, but I have managed to fix this with some tinkering. This game is still in beta, so these issues are understandably present, and I would love to see them fixed for a smooth experience.

EDIT (12/3/24): They fixed the connection issues and the future roadmap looks promising!

Seeker's of the Storm is...mid. If you are expecting something grand, you will be sorely disappointed. It's nothing more than 3 new characters with some new stages and a boss, for the price of $15. It does not change the game-play loop in any meaningful way. The characters are not bad, but nothing insane. I can not, in good faith, recommend this DLC, unless you are a big fan of RoR.

Some of my most fond memories comes from Destiny 2. And yet, I can not FULLY recommend it to a friend without mentioning its pretty drastic caveats. To the potential buyer reading this, you CAN have lots of fun, given you invest your time into the game, but getting there is not an easy feat.

It's hard to describe to someone who's never played the game before what they are going to experience, so I will instead make a list of what you will need to have the best opportunity at having fun. Based on this list you can decide if the game is worth trying or not.

1. A friend who has already played the game, and knows it inside and out.

This. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is that you have someone who knows the game inside and out taking every step alongside you as you start. You are going to be confused, you are going to run into bugs you won't know how to solve, and you are going to be thrown into a bottomless pit of information overload. Find someone who can guide you.

2. Get ready to read, like a lot...

As mentioned above, you are going to be thrown a lot of information. Please, for the love of all that is holy, do not skip it. You must be patient and actually read what is in front of you. 50% of Destiny is reading comprehension, the other 50% is using what you read to actually play the game with maximum efficiency. Taking the time to slow down and read everything early on will help you later when things get even more complicated.

3. Use external websites!

Destiny utilizes an API that is available for everyone! Certain website utilize the API to accomplish certain tasks in game. Some of the most important:

- Destiny Item Manager (DIM) - Used for easy inventory sorting! So much easier than the in-game system.
- Light.gg - Used for general game information, can help you find godrolls for weapons your chasing
- D2Foundry - View every weapon in the game and its potential perks, more detailed overview for weapons

Additionally, if you are unsure how to complete a quest or how to go about acquiring a specific item, use Youtube! This is a no-brainer but there are plenty of guides on how to do certain quests.

My Additional Thoughts

Destiny, for a player who has played everything, is very dry as of now. Bungie is currently working on Marathon and neglecting Destiny 2. Though June is promising as the next major update will improve a lot of systems and bring new content. The impact of that update can swing negative or positive depending on how well Bungie delivers.

Destiny's pros and cons:

Pros:

- Gunplay (Probably the best in the entire genre)
- Music
- Raid and Dungeons (inject these activities right into my veins)

Cons:

- Bungie does not listen to the community
- Bungie is money hungry
- Development is slowing down to a CRAWL
- Pricey as hell

On that last Con, if you choose to buy DLC for Destiny 2. DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE FOR THE DLCS! THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO GET THEM WAY WAY CHEAPER!!!

For a new player, Destiny is a game that has A LOT OF CONTENT. I am jealous of the person that is just starting out.

This game is great and fun, but the community is toxic. If you are willing to play, turn the comment box off.
