Early Access Review
This game is quite amazing when playing with friends. Can't wait to see where the devs take this game in the future!

Update:
They took it way further.

This game is great. Better than the first and just as addicting. Devs also seem to care about the future of the game, so support is there for the long haul.

11/21/18 - Game keeps on getting better and better. I still highly recommend this game.

This has got to be one of the better polished games in VR that I've played so far. The graphics and sound are AAA quality which really help immerse you into the story and environment. On top of the quality, it also has great online co-op that was a ton of fun playing through with a friend.

The game mode that really gives this game legs is the horde mode. Its a ton of fun just hopping in with a friend (up to 4) to play for 15-30 minutes at a time. Originally, the game had some online bugs such as wonky character models, sound glitches during horde mode and crashes. But most, if not all, of these issues have disappeared with the most recent set of patches.

I highly recommend this game if you're looking for a highly polished VR experience that include either single player or multiplayer action.

I'm going to recommend this game because it fits my criteria of what I expected from this type of game, but I can see why people wouldn't. It entirely depends on how you play the game and what you're looking to get out of it.

If you're looking for something that's fun, a good workout, and something to do while you enjoy your music, I'd say this game will fit the bill. If you're looking for a challenging experience that has precise note timings in sync with the music, then I'd look somewhere else.

Hopefully the developer continues to update the game (no new updates in awhile) so it becomes a game that a larger portion of the rhythm loving gamers can enjoy.

PROS
- Improved Left4Dead mechanics.
- Superb graphics that really nail the atmosphere and mood of the Warhammer universe.
- Requires teamwork to survive.
- Provides challenge with multiple difficulty settings.
- Positional audio cues in the world are very accurate.
- Addicting loot system that scales reward based on difficulty.
- Inn hub provides a great way to track your personal progress through the campaign, and acts as a waiting lobby for players. (more games should do this)
- Unique classes for each character that have their own style and weapon sets.
- Multiple game modes that mix up the game play. (campaign, side missions, waves)
- Plenty of people always online to fill a multiplayer lobby.
- DLC done right. It's not overpriced and they allow you to play the DLC as long as the host owns it.

CONS
- Can be buggy at times that end up costing you and your teammates the game. (sudden health drops, rats hitting you through floors)
- Sounds are a little too quiet. (may not be for everyone)
- Controller support is currently buggy and does not support certain features like rotating around characters when you're not alive. I expect this to get better as they move toward a console release.\
- NPC AI can be shoddy on higher difficulties. I'd recommend playing with friends or waiting for players to join your game.

CONCLUSION
This is my top pick for being the most underrated and under marketed game of last year. I wish I knew about the game sooner so I could have started playing from day one. I'm looking forward to experiencing the additions made to the game throughout the year.

UPDATED 11/23/16
With the new quests and contracts that was recently released, the game has gotten better. It has given me a reason to login everyday instead of just grinding for specific gear with rolls.
