TLDR If your PC can handle it, its a cautious recommend. Original devs Colossal Order have been replaced with a new studio Iceflake and the future is uncertain. But they are doing a pretty good job so far.

Paradox decision to more or less remove the original dev team Colossal Order from the game completely, whose management seems to have be a large thorn in the side for this game and devs proclaiming they feel stuck in "development hell", towards Iceflake, an internal Paradox branch, seems to have been the right decision so far. I was cautious at first as this studio doesnt have a great set of games on their belt (basically one basic "city" builder and mobile games) but I'm happy to say first impressions are good. Updates are still slow, but at least the updates are focused towards things the players actually want and not seemingly random bug fixes and additions/DLC that add nothing to the game while the base game is on fire from how buggy it is. At this stage I can cautiously recommend this game with the future of it looking just a bit more hopeful now. If you have a bad PC dont even bother though, this game runs like hot garbage at best. CS1 is probably still the king just in terms of pure quality content but ive been CS2-pilled with its top tier road building for a long time now and just cant go back to CS1 as it feels like im playing a PS2 game compared to CS2.
