I spent the first twenty-four hours of my playtime with this game undergoing the baptism of fire that is the Byzantine start.

I survived disaster after disaster with ever mounting debt, and inflation - with unhappy estates, unhappy pops & minimal crown power.

Yet, like a cockroach, I survived & slowly, ever so slowly, regained control of the economy.

It was looking like the Byzantine Empire would be revived, only for the Black Death to arrive on my doorstep and claim 50% of my population & once more plunge my fledgling economy into free-fall.

10/10.

Horrible UI, laggy menus & and an abundance of removed content.

Graphics are a marginal upgrade - and they don’t make up for the downgrades everywhere else across the board.

I just wanted to build farms, raise livestock, and peacefully trade with my neighbours, it was going well... until the raiders came...

They took everything from me, never again will I allow my people to be butchered like wild animals.

I will vanquish every bandit camp, slaughter every raider, man, woman and child.

THIS GAME IS INCREDIBLE

Curiosity mixed with a healthy dose of FOMO tempted me to finally take my 'Soulsborne' virginity, and quite frankly, i'm glad I did. I've perhaps always been put off the well-renowned difficulty of this genre; Needless to say, I was wrong, the difficulty is what makes it so brilliant! Nothing feels more incredible than finally beating Margit - or any of the other dozen bosses - yes, it's rage inducing, yes, you will die A LOT... BUT MY GOD, when you finally progress it feels incredibly satisfying. Currently, I have 20hrs game-time, I've only just beaten the 2nd main boss - I've barely scratched the surface of what this game has to offer & I can already comfortably say this is WITHOUT A DOUBT one of the best games I have ever played. 10/10.

Beginners Perspective

I've thoroughly enjoyed the steep learning curve that De-SyncZ has to offer, whilst initially overwhelming, you soon realise the only necessary mechanic to understand is running.

You'll run alot.

Looting is enjoyable, although finding areas untouched by other players can be difficult & you'll almost permanently be dying of hunger, thirst or both at the same time. In order to find food and water you'll need to run around, which only depletes your thirst and hunger even more.

Whilst running around searching for food and water, you'll most likely attract attention from zombies, who will run after you (with unlimited sprint) and in turn - the running zombies will attract players.

You'll probably want to run away, eventually you'll run away enough that you find some weapons; Finally you can defend yourself, but now you've contracted a disease from running around in the cold for so f##king long and now you need medical supplies, so you need to run around until you find a hospital that hasn't already been looted, oh and you're also starving even faster than before due to your illness.

I found myself in this situation and opted to unload the single chambered round of my Makarov IJ-70 into my own skull to save my sanity.

So, once more, i'm spawned in the middle of butt f##k nowhere with a single Plum to eat and lighthouse to loot.

10/10 would repeat.

French Knights go BRRRRRRRRRRRR

This game is truly phenomonal, there's just something special about the feeling of reward this game grants you along with the feeling of immense risk you have to frequently undertake that ultimately will leave you hooked. This game is extremely addicting, from the farming to building and the PVP the game mechanics are sensational and the dev team is committed to making this game even better, proven by their dedication to weekly updates. The game has its fair share of issues, as all games do, with cheaters & general toxicity in the community but overall most player interactions are entertaining and add to the experience. Playing solo is extremely difficult so new players should probably get a small group together to get the most enjoyment out of the game. This game will leave you with so amazing moments and is definitely value for money, would highly recommend this game to anyone who's looking for a new way to kill time :)
