Street Fighter V is a massive disappointment compared to Ultra Street Fighter 4. Not only is the game, after 3 months post-release, still littered with bugs and quality of life issues, the gameplay itself is mediocre, bland, and simple. The game essentially took everything that was complex and hype about USF4 and removed it, leaving a dry husk of a game.

Net play is absolute garbage. The implementation of rollback netcode was seemingly done by morons. Huge amounts of rollback is rampant even if you're playing someone locally.

Combo system is lackluster and trivial. The game itself prevents players from truly growing. Low skill floor, which is great for beginners, but an extremely low skill ceiling making this game feel very limiting.

Input lag is atrocious and causes extremely poor situations for reactions.

Do not recommend at all. If you are new to Street Fighter, I highly recommend purchasing Ultra Street Fighter 4 as it is an overall superior game. It is more complex and harder to get into as a beginner, but a monumentally more satisfying feeling when you begin to implement those complexities in matches.

Overall, stay away from SF5. Capcom doesn't deserve your money.
