If you like the type of gameplay in Advance Wars or Fire Emblem, or might like a Civilization-ish experience without base-building, but with better combat, try this game. It's one of the best strategy games I have ever played, with a crazy amount of official and mod content, and most surprising of all it's completely free. Lots of campaign content, online multiplayer and LAN/hotseat content. I have played it on an infrequent basis for years and it has slowly and steadily improved since I first played it.
