The controls are great and there are lots of potential here. A few humble suggestions:
1. Missions can have modes: Hard (Number of targets = number of drones), Easy (more drones than targets), and God mode (unlimited drones).
2. A sandbox story mode can be added; you select the parties; and watch the war progress. Secure artillery or vehicles - get rewarded; buy ammunition and drones etc. - I know it's a lot to ask for but; just imagine.
3. Maybe this already in the roadmap; if it's not, it must be. The smart AI for soldiers and vehicles. Vehicles just move around and soldiers follow a static path; Vehicles should have a purpose; Soldiers must hide; do some maneuvers. If occasionally some soldiers throw themselves on the ground, stop and shoot the drone, or plea for mercy; that would make the sim more alive.
4. Another mode idea; find and destroy. You oversee a combat as it happens. Some of the enemy units try to infiltrate: you as the drone operator have to find and destroy enemy units before they strike yours from behind.

It is really a fun game to play. It has a great potential for DLCs and mods.

After some point it becomes repetitive, but you can enjoy the base game at least 5+ hours.

It's great! And when you think it's a free mod, it's awesome.

Valve should hire the team and provide them with original quality textures.

Imagine playing Half-life 2 with Alyx-like quality.

The game has an intriguing story that you can dive in from the very start. It can be a little hard to get comfortable with mechanics at the beginning, but you become more than confident after 4-5 hours. To get the best experience, you gotta play side jobs, imo. It helps you identify yourself with the main character.

The game maintains its base structure. Gameplay mechanics will be familiar to you if you has ever played warband.

IMO each Npc should have a uniqe background story. Some towns and villages should have cultural events. And most importantly the quest should be much more detail and elaborated so that you can experience the tough decisions you have to make as a leader. The game has a lot of potential. It's stil in early acces but it surely manages to satisfy.

It's my childhood game. it was a great game at that time and still is.

It was a great game then, and it still feels great. Can't wait for second game!
