Not Scary and not fun.

I only finished chapter one, but I was left with absolutely no desire to play any more. My main problem is that the game is extremely tedious. you spend probably 90% of your time playing this game waiting for your character to move to where you want to go. As someone who wanted to find all the notes I walked throughout as much of chapter one as I could manage and didn't even find all of them. According to some other reviews apparently some of the notes will be hidden in normal looking items? So I'd have to spend 30 minutes walking around the same areas looking for these? Chapter one is also barely scary. I'd say the worst part is having the music cut out in the house, but nothing scary actually happens as a payoff. For all the enemies you just learn how they work, then do it every time they show up as you tediously walk around trying to figure out what the game wants from you to progress. seeing that chapter 2 has 35 notes to collect compared to the 20 in chapter one fills me with dread.

I don't plan on finishing this, if you want to play a game that could've come out 50 years ago this one's probably for you
