Rounds go for too long if youre trying to play optimally, but fun overall and a very clever blend of the roguelike formula and tic tac toe.

It is impossible to take damage. I imagine the dev accidentally left a dev setting enabled.

Otherwise, fun game, especially if you like beat 'em ups. Feels a little same-y after not very long but worth the asking price if it's your thing.

Quite fun for a while but once you figure out the strategy you only ever lose because of RNG, which isn't very often. Fun for score-chasing but there's really only much variety a game like this can have. You can get different builds going (way more variety than just black/white which is what I initially thought) and I certainly haven't seen it all, but every run still follows the same ruleset so you can still win in the same way. It would be interesting to have different dice to begin with that might encourage different gameplay styles.

It is super fun but also brief. Dev seems super committed to the game, so I'm sure there'll be heaps of content in the future (there's already been a massive update since release). Certainly recommend for the price, especially if you like satisfying gameplay and score-chasing!

A fun little game with some balancing issues but a solid core gameplay loop.

Your build can become incredibly overpowered - it got to a point where I didn't have to move and I'd absolutely slaughter all enemies - but getting to that point can be tedious. The balance of the game is not quite as fine tuned as it could be and there are some units (no spoilers!) that virtually win you the game.

Getting certain synergies will mean you become unstoppable, and that is super fun to figure out what that winning combination could be.

A very fun game that I'd recommend!

Yeah ok, this ♥♥♥♥ is gonna gobble up my free time like there's no tomorrow.

I normally don't play turn-based games, just because it seems so overwhelming, but this just introduces everything at just the right time where you only realise how far you've come after an hour. A really nice tutorial that's integrated into the game is a dream in turn-based games, and I'm happy to say this tutorial is one of those.

As for the gameplay, it's in depth, novel, and awesome. Definitely would recommend picking up this labour of love and I look forward to putting in more hours!

Early Access Review
So, here's the thing with this game.

It is incredibly well thought out with simple but aesthetically awesome graphics and crazy synergy potential. It's also super cheap and has a lot of different starting options to add some versatility. I've spent most of my time with one character and one gun, and I can see the huge amounts of stuff to do with other characters, mods, guns, and specials.

However, there are a few caveats. Firstly, the player's choices for characters and whatnot are important for their playstyle for the first 10-15 minutes of the game, because it'll determine how you can take out bosses, and use your skills to your advantage. However, beyond that, there really is no difference between your runs. It's the same upgrades upgrading the same stats and sure some upgrades are better or worse depending on your character but it's never really enough to add a layer of strategy. As I said, for the first 10-15 minutes, your upgrade choices are important, the way you use your character is important, and it's super fun, but after that it starts to feel a bit same-y.

But that's not to say that same-y is necessarily a bad thing, the bullet heaven genre is typically great at creating satisfaction when you can decimate every enemy on your screen with a single click, but I've found most of my runs end that way - I don't think the balance is quite right yet. For example, I absolutely obliterate most bosses and enemies, and pretty much the only way to die is to not see an enemy's projectile in the slew of your own bullets and particles.

I'm by no means running an ultra PC, but the game does become laggy very fast compared to other games like Vampire Survivors or Brotato with similar amounts of projectiles. I presume the lighting is very expensive, but even then it's madness how fast this drops from 60fps to 12. I've ended up having to play this on my Steam Deck but even then it loses performance after a little while too.

Ultimately, this is a super cool game with ultra satisfying game play. It manages to stand out in the blur of bullet heaven games and I think with balancing changes and potentially some more biome/enemy diversity in later stages it could become a staple of this emerging genre! Despite its flaws, I would certainly recommend checking it out!

Absolutely ingenious game design. Superb content added and lots of it.

The developer has created the perfect blend of fun and ease of implementation (I presume) and the game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun!
