sooo taking the advice i learned from this game... i tossed the family dog into a black hole but it isnt coming back? im not sure what to do now..

i get to rob banks like payday robs my computer's storage. the beautiful nature of capitalism...

I am quitting UNTURNED because it's a ridiculous system. The UNTURNED staff does whatever they can do to help their favorite players, but don't fix fundamental bugs that stop people from making amazing things. Throughout the five years that I've been making on this game UNTURNED has consistently broken maps through updates and has ALWAYS had hacks allowing users to steal places and insert scripts. These exploits should have been on the top of their list to fix, yet they're still occuring today. It DOES NOT seem worth it to me to make maps when other people will eventually steal them, claim them as their own and everyone will fall for it.

woke game engine. the picosecond i used godot it woke'd my whole family. all we talk about now is gender and pronouns.

issues with the game:
- cheating. they have an anticheat. issue, they have easy anticheat
- toxicity. i dont know what it is about this game that attracts e-gangsters but it does, and it seems rare to battle a decent person.
- bugs. they're a core component of this game at this point.
- live service. micro-transactions and battle pass bundled within.

petty issues:
- really long session times. the time to complete a voyage from the start to sell, takes like a minimum 20 mins (for like one of the more fun voyages)
- the pacing of combat is really strange. naval combat is fairly slow and more strategic feeling, but then you get to hand to hand combat which becomes reflex test to then bunny hopping competition. not very piratey to me !!!
- where did the art direction go. (see example 1a, the pirate emporium)
- insanely long grinds. please god no more fishing all i wanted was the killer whale set

positive:
- its not skull and bones
- it works on linux
- its more fun with friends. but at that point im just saying i enjoy doing stuff with friends ??
