Dragon Age: Origins and I have a complex history. When it first came out, I wasn't interested. It wasn't until a good friend of mine pushed me over and over to give it a shot that I finally tried, and though it took me a few hours to get into it, once I did, I found one of the most rewarding RPG experiences I've had to date. With a huge, sprawling, living world and tons of lore and choices to make, if you're a fan of western RPGs, it's hard to go wrong with DA:O. I will mention that the combat is real time with pause tactical combat, so don't be caught off guard if you don't like that kind of thing. It never really bothered me. Oh, and word to the wise: The second game is nowhere near as good, so be prepared for that as well.
