One of the better balatro-roguelites with good execution on the food theme and cozy-core art. You can tell a lot of effort went into creating lots of unique food items you can add to your omelette which is great because I think a lot of balatro-likes struggle to add enough "things" to make your deck feel fresh from run to run.

Honestly one of the best co-op with friend games out there. In the same tier as Lethal Company.

If I had to name one downside it's that full runs can take around 2 hours and that could be a restrictive time commitment for some people. A faster/shortened mode could be a good addition.

Reminder to people to stop tolerating corpo money-driven game development. I don't care about what Highguard did poorly or what they did well (nothing), I want the suits sitting in these game companies to learn a lesson or leave and go ruin some other industry. They won't though, the idea of chasing the live service dragon is too much for their greedy minds.

Adding player levels 9 days before game EOS is a joke. If you've ever complained about half-baked games, just remember the Tencent money that backed this "indie" game forced developers to launch because they decided that there was no runway left. Remember that out of touch suits and bean counters who try and build a store first and a video game around it should not be tolerated.

Cozy puzzle game with a pleasing art style. The back quarter levels offer a good level of difficulty.

I enjoyed this sequel to Hades a lot more than the original. Also I don't think the true ending is that bad in spite of what the rest of the internet says.

I think it's fair to say that this game is comparable to a 2D Dark Souls experience. Aside from the story being confusing to follow...

- Movement/platforming feels good
- Combat feels good
- Environments and art stylization look great
- Characters look cool have interesting personalities
- Lots of upgrades, abilities, tools, crests to let players experiment and feel stronger as they gain power

This was an enjoyable sequel as somebody who enjoys platformers but the difficulty curve is probably too steep for more casual-leaning gamers. There's a lot of cool things to see if you do a 100% completion run but I'm afraid the difficulty would probably discourage a good amount of people from seeing all the hard work Team Cherry put into the game.

Has a few scary moments and the food making part of the game is not bad. For the price it's a good game.

I am so frustrated at how close this game is to being satisfying to play. Great atmosphere, sound, and art style but the RNG you encounter in trying to solve puzzles or reach room 46 feels so bad. I really like rogue likes but I've had multiple runs where I wanted to rip my eyeballs out because I was off by one item or missing a specific room. Ultimately to me, it doesn't feel like this game respects my time and now that I've reached room 46 I am dropping the game.
