Early Access Review
My only gripe with the entire game is calling a singular die "dice."

After a year of not playing EU4, I finally started back up yesterday, and man did I miss some updates. This game is beautiful. You will not a find a more in depth grand strategy out there. Paradox are geniuses. The only real complaint I have is common among the community, which is there is just so much DLC. However, Paradox care about the game and release free content alongside each new DLC release. The base game is amazing and well polished, and some of the DLC is a bit unnecessary, especially depending on your playstyle. There is a pretty high learning curve associated with the game, but once you learn, you never forget. This game is addicting as all hell. I have never seen another game with so much replayability constantly being worked on by both the Devs and modders. You will never feel as if you have done all there is to do in this game if you play for three hours every day for the rest of your life. Another great thing about the game is the ability to bounce back. You will most likely lose wars unless you play on the easiest settings all your life, but just because you lose one war does not mean you will lose all to come, unless you lose your first war as Byzantium, just restart at that point. To conclude, buy this game if you love strategy, history, geography, or just conquering everything in your path. Whether you focus on trade, conquest, politics, or just sort of existing, this game has something for everyone.

P.S. You will find yourself staring at a map for extended periods of time. You have been warned.
