It's been so cozy and comfy playing this game. I've enjoyed every moment of it. I promise. Please tell the Scout Master I'm having fun. Please.

Early Access Review
As a life long The Sims player, I desperately wanted to like this game. However, I can't support it for a couple of reasons.

1) Soulless Gameplay
This game is early access at current, to be fair. After sinking nearly twenty hours into it though, I can say that if you're an avid life simulator player, it's going to feel very empty very quickly. Once the shiny newness of seeing how things work is passed, you realize that nothing about it feels rewarding or fulfilling. It's just an empty time sink.

2) Generative A.I.
Had I done my homework and bothered to just read the Steam page in it's entirety, I'd have known better than to buy this. Live and learn. Even if we take theft out of the picture, and we shouldn't, this form of A.I. is destructive to our environment. There's no ethical use of it, even without theft from hard working artists. It shouldn't have been used for any part of this game, and I regret rewarding this decision with money.

I really don't think I even need to explain at this point why I'd recommend Baldur's Gate 3. It's won so many awards, the studio has literally had to start rotating dev teams out to go do acceptances because THE AWARDS ARE SLOWING DOWN PRODUCTION! What...what else do you need to know?

Goosestarion. That is all. Go buy the damned game.

It's been a year since my initial review, and I'm still playing this game. I'll never stop recommending it.

I had posted a positive review of this game and loved my experience with it. After having this in my library for years and enjoying many a play session with friends, I have to change my tune and circle back to Phasmophobia. The devs of this game made the decision to include generative A.I. artwork rather than hire real artists. A shame, this game had potential.

Early Access Review
Update: As of writing this, the game devs appear to have fixed the game breaking bug that kept myself and many other players from being able to progress the storyline. It was a two month wait, but ultimately I feel it was worth it. I do know there are others quests that have similar bugs, so play cautiously. But the game truly is beautiful and worth the time and money I sunk into it.
============================================
I want to start off by stating that I am actually in love with this game and it hurts me to be giving it a negative review. I'm thankful that it's still in Early Access because it means these issues could still be fixed. Sooner rather than later, I hope.

I bought Disney Dreamlight Valley in December. I was excited because I'd seen so many of my friends posting screenshots of the game and it looked absolutely amazing. Immediately upon launching the game for the first time, I went wild exploring as many areas as I could unlock as fast as I could. Unfortunately for me, this meant I inevitably picked up and started crafting quest items before I had even received the quest they were for.

For those of you that haven't run into this issue yet, this is absolutely game breaking as there is no way other than restarting your game from the start to fix this issue at current time. The quest I did this with is not the only quest you can accidentally get hard stuck on, and again you have to completely restart the game from the beginning to fix it.

I have tried contacting Game Loft about this, I've checked the FAQ, I've searched online, I've even looked through the official Discord. It took a week to receive an email response from Game Loft after submitting a ticket that essentially boiled down to "we're already aware of this problem". This issue has been a known problem for months.

Having Game Loft tell me in this email that fixing quest related issues is their top priority when they're in the middle of surveying for star path and premium shop content while game breaking bugs are ruining the experience for far more players than just myself feels like a slap in the face.

I really hope Game Loft shows the community that they care about more than just their money before this game leaves Early Access.. I want to love and support this game, but I won't be recommending it to anyone until the story can actually be played without absolutely game ruining issues.

Pros
+ Cute visuals
+ Fun and easy to follow story
+ Relaxing and easy to play for hours
+ Lots of your favorite Disney characters
+ Animal Crossing/Stardew Valley like gameplay
+ Streamer friendly mode so music can still be played

Cons
+ Game breaking bugs with no current fix
+ Studio seems more focused on cash grabs than bug fixes

I was told to play this game for months. I honestly went into it kind of annoyed with it from how often people tried to convince me to play it. At first glance, it looked like some kind of kids game. I -very- quickly had the annoyance and the judgement slapped out of me by what was an impressively deceptive experience.

The story has twists and turns you wouldn't expect from something that looks the way Bugsnax looks, and the gameplay is addicting. I've 100% completed this game, have watched a streamer play through it, am watching a second streamer play through it, and am gearing up to play it myself again for a second time. I have every intention of getting a Bunger tattoo. You can quote me on this.

Pros
+ Mind blowing story telling.
+ Queer representation done right!
+ Super fun and dynamic capture mechanics, and addictive game play.
+ Super cute visuals and diverse environments.
+ Super fun boss fights with easy to pick up mechanics.
+ Hats for snax!
+ Absolutely stunning soundtrack!

Cons
+ Beffica exists.
+ You can trick Gramble into eating his kin.
+ Snorpy wasn't crazy! They're everywhere! Watching, listening...

This game was comfy. That is the perfect word to describe the experience of Calico. If you need something to play while you shut off your brain and relax, this is definitely a game I'd recommend. I for one absolutely loved it.

Pros
+ SO MANY CATS! And other animals too!
+ The best use of jiggle physics I've ever seen.
+ Cell shaded art style that brings up nostalgia.
+ Beautiful soft background music that makes for a relaxing soundtrack.

Cons
+ You can 100% complete this game without getting anywhere near to collecting all of the furniture and decor available for the Cat Cafe. So if you want to own everything, prepare for letting the game run in the background for a while to get the money to buy everything.

Early Access Review
I was already afraid of the dark before I started playing Phasmophobia. Conclusion? I'm a masochist.

Pros
+ This game already has so much content and is STILL in early access.
+ The Devs are tirelessly working on updating, bug fixing, and expanding this game.
+ There is so much variety in location, cursed objects, and ghost type that it does not get old.

Cons
+The Devs allow racism and sexually predatory behavior on their team and in their Discord, going so far to excuse it and do nothing other than wrist slapping to address it only after it's been forced into the public eye.

Realistically, I can't see a down side to buying this game (other than yet another ♥♥♥♥♥♥ toxic masculinity dev team). Any complaint I've ever had has been dealt with by a quickly delivered patch, and the upcoming updates look incredibly promising. Phasmophobia is incredible and terrifying, and it's not even fully released.

10/10, would get choked by a ghost again.

This is my first time picking up a Forza game for myself rather than just sneaking the controller while someone else is away from the game. Lots of personal opinion to follow!

Pros-
Their choice of location and voice actors this go around feels long overdue. I'm pleased to see it!
The graphics, like every rendition I've seen in Forza games before, are breathtaking but don't require NASA computers!
It's not hard to pick up a controller and get a feel for the game, but mastering different vehicles can be a fun challenge!
There is a very good amount of content at launch, and I don't see them slowing down anytime soon!

Cons-
This game really likes to crash and lose your progress.
One of the most popular voice chat services is one of the leading causes of crashes (Discord).

Imagine a giant bowl. GIANT. That's how much content this game has. Now imagine that it's full of your favorite food. Freshly prepared, piping hot, ready to make you comfy. That's how cute this game is, how inviting. Truly adorable and really draws you in.

Now shove your face into that piping hot deliciousness.

10/10, I didn't even need skin on my face anyway.
