This is another good game by dancing dragon team. Really loved the characters, the story, the animation and the combat system. <3
Finished the main story on normal difficulty. (Permadeath mode was too much for my anxiety 😅)

At 35 hours, completed the entire game with all quests and super-bosses defeated. (The Arena could've been more end-game though imo.)
Never really a fan of difficulty based achievements, but might give it another try and get that when I get nostalgic in the future.

Story:
An amazing adventure filled with lots of twists and epic battles.
There were some cliche plot progression and really frustrating moments (plot-wise). I mean, come on! can't you wait one second to hear us out, instead of having to fight us for minutes? lol
But there were many great moments too. My favourite is the climax. Seriously, Rowan and Corinna doing that was beyond amazing! 🔥😎

Characters:
Rowan, Corinna, Aden: My go-to boss slayers. (Mix and matched with Reyna of course.)
Rashim, Arielle, Reyna: My mob decimators. (Especially late game.)
The character art was mixed emotions for me. When I'm immersed in such a serious plot line, but the characters give such childish expressions for their dialogues... really throws me off 😕.
But It's not all bad, as the art during crucial moments were great 👍. Bloody maybe, but great nonetheless 😉.
Character development was good, but felt rushed or inconsistent at times. What happened to the Tariq senate deliberations?, Aden and his sudden romance... Just why?, Did Rowan get over Reyna?, Why was everyone okay with killing people they had a connection to (As in not stopping the one about to do it) but can't stomach killing soldiers in a raid?
Maybe it was for the realism of war, but inconsistent characters take me out of the immersion aspect 😓.
I have a soft spot for Brooke 💔😭. She did what she had to for what she believed in. And was the only character believably consistent in her role in this war-torn world of Rin.

Battle System:
The skill-tree and talent system was a welcomed breath of fresh air. Especially the attunement system of increasing the accessories power (Effectively a one time level-up by accumulating battle experience.)
Having a 3 party system served well initially, (despite enemies coming in hordes) but later on, with a party of 8, some were never really used much. (Looking at you Natasha and Gage 🤷‍♂️) Maybe a split party dungeon could've filled that void.
The elite monsters and their drops serving as crafting materials to permanently upgrade weapons was a welcomed experience for me.
The difficulty was just right for me (Played normal iirc), and never had to grind and never died anywhere. (Okay, maybe I died a few times in the arena, but that was greed!)

Graphics and Sound:
The best pixelated animations I've had the fortune of experience till date 💯. In awe of every frame of every skills every single time I used them 🤤.
The pixel background art and monster art were breath-taking too. (Definitely snatching that blue moon for my profile 😂.)
The background score was AMAZING! Had me hooked from the intro. Made the game feel that much more immersive and exciting.

Overall a great game well worth the money and time. Had minor hiccups here and there, but definitely enjoyed the experience 💖. Looking forward to future games from Stegosoft 😄.

First time playing a horror-style game that I loved every second of. ❤
The music and sfx was spot on, giving me chills and scares every so often. 😰 (And those jump scares... 😱)

Gameplay
The game was quite linear and the pace suited the anxious urge to get out of the place asap.
I played the illusion (easier) difficulty, and everything was smooth until the last few bosses. Though i did 1K damage sometimes with a crit, it was still hard managing my party's health while keeping up the damage. Especially when the bosses were immune to most of the debuffs. (But I guess this is to enhance the nightmarish aspect of the whole game, which it certainly did. 😨)
The whole skill upgrade after defeating a boss was very intriguing 👍. Picking up the right upgrades makes the overall battle experience that much better.

The ending was quite bizarre (that's good), which suited the whole nightmarish theme and left a lot of questions whose answers were left to our imaginations.
Overall it was a thrilling experience! 😄

****This game has some dark themes of death and suicide in a post-apocalyptic setting. Not for the faint of heart.****

I've never been a fan of neither short nor survival style games. But honestly, this game had me hooked for it's story.
It wasn't my cup of tea, as there were no towns nor a leisure pace (It was dungeon after dungeon with no end in sight). The overly convoluted dungeons (despite being linear) and the constant battles wore me out as much as the characters themselves were worn out 😵. But that perfectly captures the essence of this game, fighting for survival in what can only be interpreted as a post-apocalyptic world.

Battles: (I played the normal difficulty.)
The bosses themselves were not that hard once you know the buffs and debuffs to use and states to inflict.
The random encounters however, were a nightmare for me. I've never escaped so much in an Aldorlea game as much as I've done in this one 😂. I chalk it up to my paranoia of using up all restorative items and getting stuck 😅.
The stat gain from levelling up would definitely be worth the grind though 👍. It might even make the encounters easier to deal with. (But hey, I was running for my survival here. no time to grind! 😆)

Characters:
Mathilde was really well written. She was dealing with her inner fears while having to struggle to survive in a land she knew nothing about while not having any skills to do it.
Josef played the crazy-inventor-in-love-with-his-creation well up to the very end.
Pristine was too much of a mystery until the end (Read the ending discussion for more).

Ending discussion:
I had my suspicions when Pristine didn't notice Switch's disappearance, but was thrown off by Pixie not noticing it too (I honestly doubted the innocent cute cat 😭).
But after Pixie disappeared, I was certain Pristine was behind everything (Around the halfway mark I guess?). Though I didn't know she was a robot until Josef stated it (Actually blew my mind 🤯 that I didn't pick up on it).
While playing the game I hoped for a happy ending, but somewhere in the back of my mind I had a feeling that they were only delaying the inevitable. The person I least expected to live was the one left standing in the end. And understandably, she couldn't handle it and chose to end her suffering.
Then comes the open ending style, where we are left to imagine the reasons for Pristine going bad. So here's my interpretation.
The lab in the jungle and the entire continent was a secret experiment gone bad. It was the army's directive to eliminate all personnel from the lab and since Pristine had the skills/mind of a soldier "installed" in her, it was only a matter of time until she turns on the survivors.

TL;DR
The overall story, the back and forth dialogues and the lingering mystery of "What will happen next?" at every corner makes the survival worth it.

I am in love with the deep characters of this game <3. Also the story and it's various twists and turns keeps me interested.
Playing the regular difficulty, and i have to say, the various attack types and weapon types had a bit of a learning curve. But once you get used to them the battles become so much easier.
The dungeons aren't as monotonous as other games, and always have something new added to them, which i really liked.
Definitely worth a recommend from me.

I love how reality is brought into a fantasy world. It's so fun seeing banks run by dragons with huge ogre bodyguards :D
I Love the detailed history (Read from the books in the school) which add so much to the immersion of the game. It's magnificent story telling :)

About the characters, i'm only 4 hours into the game and haven't met all the characters, but from the choice of weapons given i think i'm in for one interesting adventure! (And i so love Sarah and her orcish swears. Hilarious! lol)

The initial battles were kinda on the challenging side. I'm playing normal (zero bonus/reduction to enemy stats) and i felt i had to go out of my way to circle around monsters in fear of being KO'ed or having to use lots of potions/mana (again since i just unlocked the ability to learn new skills, it might get easier from now on. And you can also decrease the monster stats from the menu options, so it isn't a big deal.)

If you love witty humour and an immersive story-telling experience, I definitely recommend people to try this game out.

Update: 30 hours in and I think I'm at the half way point. Definitely loving the story and the scale of things. As for the combat difficulty, it's actually easy and fun when you know the right spells/skills to learn and use. (Definitely keeping Kira forever in my party)
Also, major spoiler Code 52672 ^.^
-------------
Update: Completed every side quest, secret boss, and found all the endings (Glad I bought the Strategy guide, as there were so much to keep track of, it would've been extremely tedious without it). I must say, i'm not a fan of multiple endings, but this game sure made defeating the last boss multiple times worthwhile lol. I kinda like the official ending more than the happier one, as it had more realism and made the groundwork for further progression. Absolutely loved the story and awaiting for the continuation of this epic. <3

I really loved Sonny 1&2 and Sinjid series. They were super fun to play and ticked all my boxes for a flash RPG.
The combat style was what got me hooked to the series.
The skill tree and classes gave the game some amazing replay value.

And Sonny 3 doesn't fall short. It has the added nostalgia value of the series too.
Not too challenging, but also not too easy. Getting the achievements are super satisfying.
I wish the series would continue, as it has a lot of potential to develop into a beast of a game.
