Very original take on the genre. The music and art style are superb. It already has a ton of content, can't wait to see what's to come!

Excellent, the gameplay loop is great already and it's just on early access. The perfect arena roguelite to play a run here and there when you wanna relax and don't have much time. It's very challenging. The pixel art is amazing, the music and sound effects too. It's a very well polished game. Excited for what's to come.

I'm so glad I didn't buy this game. It had been on my wishlist for a long time, and I finally tried it now that it was free.

It's a cool concept. The music and art direction are great, but that's about it. The game is too bare, just go into rooms, fight the bosses with your ONE arrow which you have to recall, and you die in ONE hit and have to re-watch the whole death-revive animations and then walk aaaall the way back very slowly and awkwardly (controls are terrible) only to be killed instantly and have to do the whole walk of shame all over again which takes so long.

I can't stress enough how terrible the controls are, and that was the deal breaker for me. You walk and run very slowly and akwardly. The dodge-roll SUCKS, you crash with everything, even stairs lol! and the whole only 1 arrow mechanic that you have to recall very slowly to be able to shoot again is horrendous.

This game would've been very cool if the controls were re-done from the ground up, expand on the world since the aesthetics are very nice, use the titans as bosses and build an actual game, like an RPG or a Roguelite. Wasted opportunity here.

Love the idea, but the execution is terrible. This game is far from finished, it has a lot of bugs, enemies clip through terrain and get stuck, you can fall to random platforms and get stranded, losing an entire run, etc.
The animations are pretty bad, you can tell they're unfinished, especially when items drop out of boxes or enemies. Collision boxes are wonky, also jumping platforms. Combat is extremely easy and repetitive.

Very often you find yourself running around empty large areas. I know the game is going for a simple aesthetic, but it's not very well executed because it looks unfinished, some areas are ridiculously bland, unlike games like Risk of Rain 2 which also has simple graphics but looks great.
Weapon and build variety are very lacking, you always end up approaching enemies the same way.

All in all, it is an abandoned game which feels very unfinished, and it gets old pretty fast, there isn't much incentive to keep doing runs, and the gameplay needs some serious work.

Abstain from wasting money on this, the devs abandoned it completely, it's been years now, things will not change.

This game is amazing! I liked the demo so much that I went out of my way to make a video to participate in the contest to win a pre-release key.

The game is very original. I first stumbled upon it on Reddit and its graphics called my attention immediately. I really love the minimalistic sprites with 8-bit like bright colors. Every tile in the game is very well thought out. The music is outstanding as well, relaxing and mysterious, puts you in a great mood to play.
This is a very unique roguelike. You get points to spend on every level to build your spell book which are your active and passive abilities. There are a ton of combinations and upgrades. There are also different kinds of damage and resistances, the more you go, the more you need to think about what your next move will be. It reminds me of games like Magic the Gathering and RPGs with a lot of elemental damage. It is very easy to pickup and play, but very hard to master! Despite being a simple game, it's actually very complex and has a lot of depth. Huge replay value too, no run is like the last one, and there are so many combinations you can try that it's practically endless.

This is primarily a tile based roguelike, but if you also like turned-based games or old RPGs you will absolutely love this game. It is super original, it exceeded my expectations.

Gave this game an honest try. I always wanted to play it because I loved the way it looks, but once I tried it, my opinion completely changed.

The character animations are really bad, which makes the gameplay very unpleasant. It feels very clunky, and certainly has framerate issues, despite running at 60fps, most animations look and feel way slower. It's bizarre to see your horse move at 60fps while the rest of the characters seem to be stuck at 20-30fps.
The bosses are a complete disaster. They are very easy and for some strange reason, you can hear a lot of their attacks before you actually see the painfully slow animations.

I'm a sucker for all things Soulsborne, but what this game borrows from Dark Souls is just a blatant copy, not just inspirations, not original at all. The lore is very uninteresting, character dialogues super cliche. The world is not enticing, level design leaves a lot to be desired.
A lot of these things could be looked over, but the gameplay, what's actually the most important point a a game, is not good at all. The movements are weird, combat feels unresponsive, enemies are dumb, the world is boring.

Too bad, I really wanted to like this game, it looked awesome, but I can't help but feel it's very shallow, unfinished maybe? And the core gameplay not enjoyable at all. Will be refunding for sure.

I said I'd review Kenshi whenever I reach 100hrs. Well, it's been 200hrs already and I didn't even realize! I guess that tells you how incredible this game it. It is very hard to describe because it is absolutely unique, I've never played anything like this and I've been a video game junkie since 1990. This is the game that never ends, sometimes I even think of it as more of an engine in which you create your own game. It has so many different things to do, and so many options, you can honestly play this forever and never run out of ideas of things to do. Add to that one of the most devoted modding communities (this game has Steam workshop) and you get this precious gem that is Kenshi.

You should honestly give it a try. Get your squad, build the greatest empire the world has ever known, and conquer every land.
You say you're enticed by its deep RPG mechanics, but don't like the idea of monitoring many units or building a base? You can play with just 1 character, zoom in and become the greatest warrior there is, more in tune with classic combat RPGs.
Are you a masochist maybe? You can be a torso thrown in the desert with no belongings!
You say you've already traveled the whole world and destroyed every city, met everyone? Install a complete overhaul mod for a totally new experience.
You say you're already a Kenshi veteran and nothing can take you down? Ramp up the difficulty, squad sizes, encounters and whatnot, start as a slave maybe?

The possibilities are endless, and this game is CHEAP, for all the content it has, and possibilities, it is a steal. You must play this in your lifetime! Get it now and await anxiously for Kenshi 2!

I'm a picky gamer. Nowadays it's hard for me to sit for more than 2 hrs playing game. I've played this for 42 hrs in just the 5 days since I got it. I haven't been this obsessed with a game in years! It is absolutely superb, and still on early access! Do yourself a favor and get this game, it'll entertain you for a really long time.

Deep Rock Galactic is absolutely fantastic. I was already aware it was good due to all the positive feedback, and I watched some videos before buying it but upon playing it I realized that it was a lot better and deeper than I had imagined. It has a tremendous amount of content that'll give you many many hours of gameplay and it's more than worth it for its price, plus, it's still in development and gets updated regularly! I can't recommend this game enough. Gameplay is fantastic, excellent game mechanics, great maps, a lot of build possibilities, great art style, it runs extremely well, it's super optimized, super fun solo or with friends, and it as a super friendly community.

Get on it right now! This is the time.
