From what they tell me it isn't something that they've been able to automate, but it's about as easy as making a forums post. (Go to group page -> click make an announcement -> fill in title and description -> send)

Also yeah, this commenting stuff has been thoroughly ridiculous. Steam is so outdated when it comes to being a social network.

Twitter and Email notifications are usually dependent on if I check my phone at the right time :( A streamer I watch created a steam group that makes an announcement when a stream is about to start and my viewership increased by like 1000% when that happened.

I don't know if that's a problem exclusive to me though so I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to go through the extra effort. Thanks for your response!
