Too many bugs, too many cutscenes, too many annoying storytelling devices.

Not too good- sound bytes are pretty low quality which is distracting in a horror game which relies on sound for some of its effects. Voice acting isn't too great either. Interesting concept though, has potential if more polish is added to sound and voice acting.

I very much enjoy this game. It's pretty laid back, you can take things at your own pace. The main idea is that you get to piece apart and sort ship parts for money, working your way up to larger more complex ships and better tools. It has a lot of potential, and I enjoy it even now while its early access.

Larger ship variety
Environmental variety
MULTIPLAYER
^seriously, this game would be so much more fun with friends. I could see myself spending hours breaking apart ships with friends.

I had doubts about this game, as I had heard many complain of the shortness of it's story. In my opinion, if you purchase this game on sale, it's well worth the price. Great story, and the sandbox exploration is a nice touch.

I would really, really like to enjoy this game but due to poor optimization, I can't. The UI is pretty bad but isn't a deal breaker. The concept of the game is extremely interesting to me and seems fun on paper. However, the game isn't anything like the demo videos and is optimized so poorly that it's unplayable. Expect rubberbanding constantly. Once the game is optimized better, if it is ever optimized better, I might look into it. For now, i'll try for a refund.

If you liked the forest but wanted more resource and crafting mechanics, this game may interest you. The small chunk of story that we're able to see seems interesting and the survival mode is pretty fun. The game needs more things to do, but it seems the devs have been hitting their roadmap goals so i'm not worried about that aspect of the game. My only current complaints are that the game does not seem to have enough methods to heal yourself when injured in comparison to the plethora of injuries you can get from various sources. The other complaint is that the game seems poorly optimized, but this is early access so who's to say better optimization isn't coming with the next update or two.
Overall I would recommend this game in it's current state for $20. It has enough content to entertain me indefinitely and seeing how the devs are actively working on the game, I imagine it's only going to get better by the end of the year.

I have been with the puzzle pirates game off and on since '07. This game, for me, has withstood the test of time. No matter how long of a period of time that i leave this game, I have always come back for 10 years now. With that being said, this release has fixed many of the long standing issues this game has had in the past, and has added enough new content to keep me interested for a while longer. I've played the presteam release for hours and have had a blast. Game is as good as it has ever been and I can only see it getting better from this point forward.
