Yeah I may as well just stick to AWD then if I still have to hook up the front and back wheels, even if using FWD or RWD.

You can sort of do it with clutches and complex logic, but to get back on you with that, it seems that the way the X-size wheels act they really, really don't like being unpowered, so AWD on all vehicles if possible. You can use a clutch to split engagement on different rear and front wheel ratios to make it act more like a RWD or FWD though!

Happy that you can enjoy the game more if that's the case! I'm sure if there was a way to make a differential a lot of the grip issue would also disappear, right now all the wheels are fully tied to the engine

Keep me informed! I don't particularly mind if the game is AWD only, it was just very confusing. I'll probably change my review if this keeps working.

Hmm, i'll bang my head gently against the wall tomorrow and see if i can figure out if there's something cause it in things that aren't AWD. Could be that i've just always made AWD cars and not spared one thought about it!

Tried the spoiler that didn't seem to work, and the issue persists regardless of steering unfortunately, it just happens driving straight forward. Changing all three of my cars to AWD has fixed the issue so far.

I'm not very well versed with speedy cars in the game to be honest, helicopters and boats are way much more my thing, and as for cars, i have big lifter trucks and fire trucks and such silly toys.

Try adding a spoiler like i have in my car, and try having a bit more sensitivity on steering. I noticed the standard 10% sensitivity takes way too long to center itself, so it leaves the front wheels at an angle which causes skidding too. The car i posted has its steering divided by 3 so it can have much higher sensitivity at the cost of turn radius!

Dayum that is crazy fast.

Yeah I tried releasing the clutch and accelerating slowly, there wasn't any tire spin it was just when I got to a high speed it would *constantly* spin. I tried the higher grip too but all it did was make it slower, but still have tire spin. I think unpowered wheels act like they're partially braking. Need to do more testing.

AWD definitely has better grip than RWD/FWD, but it's mostly down to clutch engagement managing throttle to handle the spin. That's a far, far cry from a fast Stormworks car though. Here's a quite nippy car that makes the Dark Knight's batman car blush https://youtu.be/atxPIp1e4Ck

The wheels do need their grip rebalanced, but if you use higher grip tires you do get more out of it (even if they need more power to drive them)

I figured out the issue I was having, but it seems you can only make AWD? I tried having the back wheels unpowered and the front would have massive tire slip. Has the same issue the other way too. When I power all of the wheels I'm not getting the issue anymore.

Also since i've been a bit of a butt, here's one of my extremely unfinished cars. It can pull around 130km/h offroad and 150km/h on one gear.

The acceleration is awful because it's sitting on just one gear, but it's decently fast

That's very peculiar, considering Google didn't find the post either. Sorry for the assumption, because i believed the search engines to be accurate.

Either way, it's a bunch of nonsense on the responder's part. While i can't speak for basic mode in particular, downforce (i.e. spoiler) prevents wheels spinning out as they do normally. It's still easy to pump extreme power into the wheels though.
