To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Town of Salem. The gameplay is extremely immersive, and without a solid grasp of common sense most fake wills go over a typical gamer’s head. There’s also Town of Salem’s learning curve, which is curved horribly for the game. A person going from classic to Ranked will be obliterated with the intelligence quota needed. The game’s origins draw heavily from the card game Mafia, for instance. The some players understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly understand the depths of the game, to realize that it is not just a game- it teaches something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Town of Salem truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the game play in being a jailor saying “Role now,” which itself is a good question to prisoners, teaches fans that you can’t trust everyone.
