Like the only source for good SW lore in the modern age, play if you like the universe and story.

I've only gotten a short way into the story, but I am already in love with this game. As a longtime fan of the VtM tabletop RPG, I'm finding this to be not only a wonderful entry point into the series (the game provides a dictionary to quickly get accustomed to the vocabulary of the game) as well as a great story that fits the melancholy, twisted setting of the World of Darkness.

The only downside so far is that the occasional typo will break immersion, but for this price, it's very easy to overlook this. If you like vampires and a good story, get this game!

First and foremost, I would like to say I am brand new to the Tales Of series in terms of playing the games, as Tales of Zestiria is the first game I actually have the proper platform for (PC). I guess that makes this a more or less unbiased review in terms of series nostalgia, which may make it more or less appealing depending on who is reading it.

I'll get straight to the point here -- this is my first ever review on Steam, and I am writing it exclusively to say that this game is amazing. Downright incredible. From the very start, it pulls you in with charming designs, likeable characters and interactions, and a battle system that feels unique, flexible, and interesting. And as you go along, this feeling never diminishes, even once. Steam doesn't seem to have clocked all of my hours since I played a good number of them offline, but I have been playing for a fairly good amount of time, and I am still marveling at the novelty of the characters, the exciting variety in the gameplay, and the beauty of the world built around everything this game has to offer.

If you enjoy action RPGs, I would say don't hesitate for even a second in picking up ToZ. If you enjoy story-driven games, DEFINITELY do not wait. ToZ is largely driven by a charming and engaging story which doesn't feel tedious or exhausting, largerly due to the characters it focuses on. If you like games purely for aesthetic reasons, you have a real charmer here, too, with exciting and gripping character and location designs.

In short: play Tales of Zestiria. It's wonderful, and you won't regret it.
