Good take on an old classic, shame they didn't manage to fit cataclysm(due to the code being lost after barking dog studios was acquired by take2)

Decent tactical game but the story is kinda flat, it gives the best as a sorta nicer to look megamek.

This game is possibily the best of the series(airland and red dragon get bogged down by the air and sea aspects which only slow down the game) and possibly one of the best cold war RTS. The single player is kinda unusable(the missions haven't keep pace with the multiplayer unit balancing so the end game missions require an awful lot of micro to complete) but it still has its soul and charm. Try buying it along with some friends to get some games together.

The game is buggy and unstable, so unless a major patching event happens you should wait for a heavy discount before buying. The story is decent but the gameplay relies too much on timed defense missions so you avoid it if you don't like those.
