EA went and made Battlefield 4, 2 - and i love it. the only thing that could make the game better is larger maps and less battle royal

been playing on and off since the game came out, still the best in the franchise. as much as i enjoy borderlands 4, 2 is still peak borderlands imo

let me be clear - the game itself is amazing and really fun to play casually. that being said, there's some serious issues with competitive play, namely the lack of placement matches and severe lack of any anti-cheat. this leads to lower level competitive play being filled with smurf accounts, a problem so bad that these smurf will offer paid services to boost accounts. this could easily be fixed with a placement system, because it would make it harder for smurf accounts to play at those lower levels because they would be filtered out and placed with players at their skill level. the anti-cheat is a whole other can of worms.. the cheating tends to be very blatant as there's very little recourse and making new accounts is fairly easy - and that's assuming the cheaters even get banned. it's a known issue within the community that plagues higher ranked competitive lobbies and tends to be a huge reason most people smurf to begin with. most of the community doesn't even bother with ranked to avoid these problems, and the game is fun that way, but i don't think avoiding it is the right move. we need to fix these problems so the game we all enjoy is the best it can be.
