This game ROCKS my SOCKS!

Iwo Jima on Breakthrough is the only fun map + mode that sorta feels like that classic Battlefield chaos, but any other map or mode and it's a certified SNOOZE FEST. I've got 60hrs and about 50 of them were spent grinding out the BF6 Battlepass on Iwo Jima

Devs are actively working to improve the game and it shows. The core game is super fun and like a more chilled down version of WARNO.

Old Review:
Game is really fun but it's insane that people are allowed to disconnect from a match without any actual repercussions because something did not go their way. I also cannot believe the game doesn't substitute an AI in the place of a DCed player, nor is there an option to surrender. For a game that has ELO-based matchmaking their needs to be some sort of serious punishment for people immediately abandoning a game. I'll change my review if they improve this but atm I cannot recommend because the vast majority of matches are determined by whichever team retained their players after about the first 5min.

The beginning of the game (about the 1st hour) seemed a bit slow and I was worried about it long term, but now that I'm about 4 hours in the pace has kicked up and the gameplay has opened up a lot. I think the beginning felt slow because it takes quite a while for people to build things so you have to spend the early game looking for cars, then using those cars to find survivors and building up your work force. About a couple hours in and having 50 to 60ish people makes building and scavenging happen a lot quicker.

I think the novelty of being able to choose your own home or places you are familiar with irl keeps the game super replayable and I am curious about what the end game will be like; I am pretty sure that's what the future updates are working on.

The high speed chases and unpredictable chaos that follows from them are definitely THE highlight of this game; i do recommend
