If I could give a mixed review I would. It has the potential to be an amazing roguelike squandered by some bad design decisions.

A lot of the bosses are "puzzle" bosses, meaning if you aren't aware of what the gimmick of those bosses are, you will either suffer greatly or lose entirely which can be extremely frustrating losing a several hour run at what feels like no fault of your own.
Arguably the biggest problem is how bad the unlocks system is. With how little you have unlocked at the beginning, you have to use candles to unlock new items. This wouldn't be such an issue if most of the items you have unlocked at the start weren't almost worthless, making the starting experience feel miserable and tiresome as you won't have many reliable or good ways to manage the relationship system or stress.

In some aspects it seriously exceeds the first game and I feel if the unlock system was done differently or not done at all I feel like I'd really enjoy this game.

Masterpiece of an RPG game. Does just about everything right outside of being fairly grindy but that feeling is heavily mitigated since the hamlet exists to give you a chance to breathe/take a break after a potentially hour long expedition.

its good but way too many "symbol" puzzles. Its fun/funny once or twice but jesus please dont give us symbol puzzles on a time limit.
