Its everything that made the first game so great but expanded on and refined. plays great, looks great, and the music is fantastic

unmatched in its mix and design of melee and ranged combat, darktide offers a great coop experience as you and 3 others rip and tear your way through the hive city of tertium. you have 27 personalities across 5 classes to choose from and banter with while equipping yourself with a variety of weapons to tackle a corrupted imperial regiment, a militarized cult, and daemons of nurgle. those just starting might be overwhelmed with the amount of mechanics to learn and master, but if you find yourself wanting more the highest difficulties will test not only your skills, but your situational awareness and loadout. and all of this is accompanied by one of the best soundtracks you could ever hope for as you serve the emperor of mankind.

simple fun

one of a kind world, characters, and music. gameplay is great especially after the 2.0 overhaul and dlc is a great addition to the base game

The devs are unfortunately completely inconsistent with communication and quality of life updates. theres a lot to love in the game as a whole but the longer you play the more the cracks begin to show. theres plenty of content but its hard to enjoy when the game runs terribly or the balance is changed every couple of months

This game had a rough start but it has really come into its own. The game looks great, the guns feel amazing, and there is a rhythm to the game that takes some time to figure out but is very rewarding when you do. As with any coop game its more fun with friends, but if you like wave-based hold out games with a sprinkle of horror/tension, this one is for you.

One of those games thats remarkably simple yet has a place for both beginners and professionals alike. The developers do a great job supporting the game with content as well as keeping the gameplay fun (by not changing much), as well as adding new modes and seasonal events. Tag that along with a great price and constant deals and this game is a no brainer, especially with friends.
