i love the new fist combat, demo felt very floaty and much easier, the grappling in this version feels much more rewarding and collapsing is very easy to take advantage of, though it would be better if it wasnt every fall and just the disoriented falls. the blood effects look great and much better than the ones before even on lower settings and all the maps are beautiful. they have added fun weapons and armours, but not all are on the free mode. the abyss is my favourite thing they have added, it was very desperate before and they recaptured its feeling, as well as a new gameplay loop of being a merciful peasant.


free mode is pretty bad right now, no reason to pick it over progression mode other than for the feel of the previous version. the violence slider is actually just ♥♥♥♥ and a regression from the demo, its either cut off their whole front half with a hatchet or exhausts yourself after trying to shave a piece of their shoulder, no inbetween and i think i have tried every possible combination to make it semi realistic but whatever ill go with hatchet for now. the candle thing from the abyss is still broken as hell now that you can take it back with you its even worse, start beggar run kill one guy and spare the rest, then face them in the abyss with it and you cant lose duels until you start getting outnumbered.

i still love it like i did the demo and i am glad that they are updating and hotfixing it frequently, it being early access can pass off all the small complaints, such as performance, my pc was already low end and didnt run the demo well at all but really not much has changed here..... very very replayable like its demo but even more to do
