this game is the reason i made a steam account

never got around to reviewing this game but here's my thoughts after a year later, going back and playing the game again to pvp;

this game is phenomenal overall, unlike most souls-likes where the best part (at least in my opinion) are the bosses, in this game exploring it blind was amazing. this game is truly beautiful and the world design is great.

the bosses are either really good or absolute dogass. it seems like from soft took heavy inspiration from DS2 with a lot of the encounters, and took what people said about DS3 being "too easy" and made bosses with extremely slim windows to do anything because they come after your ass like you fed them 15 of the gas station "RHINO PERFORMANCE" pills. it's very irritating at times and sometimes just borderline unfair. this being said there are quite a few good bosses for sure.

the world design in this game is overall really awesome. i do feel as they could've put a BITTTT more in certain spots (mountaintop of the giants feels a bit rushed) but overall Caelid, Limgrave, Leyndell, and the underground areas were amazing, and blew away my expectations. the best part about discovering things in game was looking at the map thinking "WOW THIS GAME IS HUGE" just to uncover another part of the map and be blown away all over again.

the story in this game is very facsinating if that's your thing, just know ahead of time it is NOT very straight forward and'll probably take a few wikis searches or youtube videos to grasp the full understanding of

and for what I came back for, which is pvp;
unfortunately the meta right now has got to be the most annoying combination of weapons and obnoxious people i have ever encountered in my entire life. i know i just need to get better and yata yata but i do NOT want to put in the effort. the servers are also very rough.

overall this game was a bit rough in certain places (it did not help that i went for the 100% within the first two weeks of release so i was getting somewhat burnt out) but overall it is a phenomenal game that i do not regret spending a dime on, and definitely had a good time playing (even if it made me want to bomb a children's hospital at times). i hope they fix some things in the next game (WE NEED A PREQUEL PLEEEAAASE) or in the next DLC.

also, bloodborne port PLEASE FROM SOFT IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG

8 year old game and yet it's still at the top, one of the best racing sims of all time

plus cutting up on the shuto expressway/nyc freeway is literally always fun

Very generous and great trial, just do NOT upgrade if you're in the middle of playing. I decided once I hit level 50 in the middle of playing that "hey, i'll go ahead and upgrade, why not?" and became subject to my god awful download speeds. You have to redownload the entire game. A lot of people also complain consistently about making an account, but it's really not that hard. Make an account through the launcher, then when it asks for a key, close out and relaunch and download, then play the game. To register the game, you just enter the code online! ezpz

there's a few gamebreaking bugs and simple bugs that suck, but overall the game is very fun and the world is phenomenal
