this story confronts you not only with the gruesome aspects of human nature, but also with the role of art and our relationship to it

if you like dark stories with a good chunk of surrealism baked in, this game is for you

everyone who had a hand in art direction, writing, (voice-)acting, cinematography, color design, music, sound design, animation and gameplay did a fantastic job

10/10

long story short: cool, but avoid this game if youre a newcomer

if you
a) never played elden ring
b) played any soulslike game before, but never played elden ring
c) dont understand the basics of elden ring's gameplay mechanics, weapon types, weapon skills, etc

youre so not gonna have a good time (aka 90 % of mobs and bosses are gonna easily destroy you among other frustrating things). i personally love the complexity and variety in gameplay, but that is literally only because i already understood how the underlying systems work. the barrier of entry to have fun is way too high in that regard

however, if a) - c) doesnt apply to you, youre in for an experience full of lighthearted, awe-inspiring and funny moments with goofy multiplayer baked in (you will still get destroyed though)

overall 6.5/10

everyone who says the bosses are badly designed/too difficult is being melodramatic (also skill issue); i beat everything alone with the slowest weapon class in the game

again, you'll witness many cinematic "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" moments during gameplay. there is one area that sucks though (but it still leads to an amazing boss fight)

similar to the base game they could have cut some repurposed bosses+dungeons out entirely and the game would have been better for it. lore was cool, too. overall 8/10

This game is kinda meaningless.

Your choices won't matter despite being told after every episode.
Quote: "This will have unexpected, and possibly far-reaching consequences."
It may sound foreboding to you, but the results won't affect the outcome in any way whatsoever.

The plot is pretty meh. Everything falls flat and gets pretty damn boring after a surprisingly promising Episode 1 -
gameplay- or storywise, you name it.
By the time I started the last episode, it was pretty clear that this game won't improve on its glaring flaws.

There is nothing new brought to the table here. Avoid if you don't wanna waste your time.
The menu music is nice tho.

I really liked this game and recommend every person to at least try it
(I just have finished Blood and Wine) .

However, this game made me realize how flawed open worlds are.

I think The Witcher III would've been much better without the meaningless "open world filler content" that a lot of games have adapted to nowadays. Nevertheless, the story, the narrative (!) and the presentation are top notch and definitely worth every second of your time.
