When I was 16, I preordered No Man's Sky, and I have never experienced such disappointment from a game release. It was so bad that Steam allowed people to refund it regardless of how many hours they had put in, but I had faith (and a bit of delusion) that it would get better, and boy was I right.

Almost 10 years later I can say that Hello Games has delivered on the promised game and more. They have continued to add good update after good update, and I can say that I am so glad I didn't give up on it. It's the type of game that you can truly never stop finding things to do. One task done, on to the next, it's been 7 hours and it feels like it's been 15 minutes. The planets have gone from lifeless to beautiful and unique, additions like base building and corvettes allow community creativity, expeditions are so much fun to experience, actually being able to play with friends, which was one of the biggest complains on release, etc.

I would absolutely recommend this to virtually anyone. Get the game, enjoy the journey, defeat some space pirates, BECOME a space pirate, build a wonderful base on a planet you love, be called an interloper 10,000 times, get a frigate, make billions of credits, spend all of it, and so much more.
