Early Access Review
It looks like World of Warcraft, because the people that made that game are working on this one. It plays like HOMM III and HOMM V, because the people that have played those games for thousands of hours are the same that made this one. It sounds like HOMM III and HOMM V, and that's the same composer from those games making music for this one. It feels like the story draws inspiration from HOMM 1 & 2 and that's the same dude that created the entire Might and Magic series that served as a consultant on this new game. This is a fine game and it may only get even better. And if you aren't even interested, HOMM 3 Complete Edition is available for purchase, so idk be happy 2026 is a great year for video games.

Early Access Review
The sequel to one of the most unique, most impactful turn based card game of all time is here. Slay the Spire 2 builds upon the first with so much more that it'll take a lot of paragraphs to write. The essence is that StS 2 comes with co-op multiplayer, fleshed out game world & story, a designated map drawing tool and a total of 5, potentially 6 classes, which may end up totalling at about 500 cards, multiplied by items....yeah, thousands of potential card & item combos. This is what a sequel should aspire to be. At the time of writing this review, the game is out in Early Access, which means that it may take around 1 - 2 years for the full version to come out.

I believe I have around 400 - 500 hours in StS 1 (Mobile) and I'm most certainly confident that I'll have 1000 hours in StS 2 (PC), it was too good of an offer to pass. Get this NOW at a reduced price....or you know what? The game will probably end up, in game hours, at an estimated worth around $2000, so pay whatever you want for it. Fk it, get the bundle with StS 1 if you haven't played that. Both games will end up having so much replay value, it may take up to a quarter of the average human lifespan to finish??? both. Real talk.

2026 is a good year for games, man

The Certainly NOT a casual FPS experience, but also NOT the most hardcore thing out there. After many hours spent playing, all this game does is to encourage PvP as fast as possible as it is the only way to actually learn and grow, a thing which most people nowadays relate to as a Soulslike game. Honestly? Very glad Bungle took 1 more year to properly dev the game some more. If Marathon released in 2025 as initially planned, it would've been a huge, unmitigated disaster. I repeat, this is NOT a casual friendly co-op extraction shooter and as such, you best believe this won't maintain over +20k players, not never. Most likely, this is going to be another Hunt: Showdown situation, where the game will maintain a dedicated community that may grow in time, but not now, especially with its uncertain future. I'm actually amazed Bungie had the balls to spend time and resources in making this game.

TL;DR If you're already on the fence or put off by the bad press, I suggest you think twice. There's a lot of fake drama out there. The game's great and is another evolution in the extraction shooter genre, but you have to be ready to accept it for what it is.

It's a great take on tactical RPGs with many ways to create unique runs through the cat breeding system, simple TBS mechanics, quirky art style, awesome music and much more. That said, it does get a bit complicated, but once you figure out how to "game the system" you can trivialize content. It may take some research, but the game allows for you to break it so, more power to the player.

This is the best crowd control (aka Stagger) class in the game and that's it. There's nothing special about it. The Arbites class is a one build trick pony (Voltaic Mines Blitz + Breaking Dissent Aura + Lone Wolf Keystone + Execution Order Keystone) at least.. for now, until Fatshart get their shart together and change things around in future patches. Other choices in its talent tree will greatly weaken the Arbites, especially in the Havoc mode where fixed, cookie cutter builds are necessary. Additionally, Arbites get 4 (FOUR!!!!) class specific weapons that don't amount to much except the Shock Baton and the Mk III Shotgun. Get this at a discount and no more.

Playing a game about a child weaponizing child abuse was never on my list of things to do in life, yet here I am, making pacts with biblical entities, all while doping, gambling, sinning, just to get that next completion mark, and then the next, and then the next....

UPDATE:

The game needed a 2026 Summer launch window to get things right. Many missing (or released in a half-baked state) features from previous titles, including the signature bullet drop mechanic and many other things such as Commander Mode, near-total geometry destruction, full range vehicle upgrades and the list goes on. Instead, they wanted the CoD audience and got very lucky with their main competition being Black Ops 6 and 7. This isn't the Battlefield veterans wanted, it's just what new players want based on some fantasy from the stories told about those incredible "Only in Battlefield" moments.

Worse off, the person that was recently put in charge of this franchise has passed away and a large part of their original development team is no longer with EA and are now making games like ARC Raiders. Not a great looking future for Battlefield, but one can only wait and see what comes next. For me, personally, I think I can admit that I'm no longer the core Battlefield audience and this 6th game will be my last. EA just don't have the chops to make awesome games without risk taking visionaries in their company. Get it at half or less than the retail price.

This is a super underrated CRPG with huge old school vibes, awesome story, great dialogue and choices to ponder and a neat combat system that does the job for those who want a challenge. I can't recommend this enough as you can now purchase the game at a very reasonable price with more than 60 hours of content to go through in a one and done or 100 hours for replayability.

One of my (many) first games purchased on Steam. Installing and playing this from time to time is so cathartic. A roguelike exploration ship manager for the ages with lots of variety, story beats and simple, yet fun space combat encounters.
