Addicted, so good. Worth the money, i wish i could have paid full price. I cant wait for more updates.

Very long and in depth critical review from a long time player.
Also, the fact that if you don't buy this DLC you will always see a "fake" shared-stash tab in your stashes is DISGUSTING. I understand they need to advertise it, but there needs to be a button to hide the advertisement permanently or per game instance.

DaD is one of my favorite games. It's my 2nd or 3rd most played game of all time and pc gaming is my only hobby. I've been part of the dev QnA's with sdf, talked with Grayson in general chat and i'm part of the wiki community where we search data from the game files and share it online so we know how the game REALLY works. I really love and care about this game and i hope my perspective on this DLC matters to you as well.

Reasons: There are multiple items in this DLC pack, some of which are not p2w at all and a couple are more p2w. The cosmetic torch skin is not p2w at all. The extra character slot is not p2w at all either, i actually think its the best thing in this pack and i'll talk more about that in the next section. The extra stash might be considered p2w by some people but not p2w by others. THE 10 EXTRA MARKETPLACE LISTING SLOTS ARE PAY TO WIN. Marketplace listing slots are now shared between all characters, you only get 10 per account (from how i understand through the patch notes since at the time of me writing this the marketplace is still closed for new wipe start). Doubling those slots for only 9 USD is crazy and will greatly increase your income through the wipe. Its a massive unfair advantage for those who cant afford this, or chose not to pay for it. The 5 (supposedly non-tradable, since i cant test it) gold coin bags is a little p2w because it feels like RMT (real money trading) but to iron mace. But if players can just bring them into the dungeon like they can with the pickaxe and potions from the post-express welcome package, then they could technically be traded through in game to someone not on your team if you snipe each others lobby. i havent tested this. The potions bandages and lockpicks are a little p2w, but its like eh whatever they're all common and not that big of a deal. 2 classes have infinite lockpicks through skills so its whatever.

The "Gaze of The Abyss" torch is cool. In game it gives off a slightly darker orange glow. The burning torch sounds are pretty much normal to the default torch. Visually the torch looks very cool, the eyeball moves and blinks and looks around. Sometimes it squints like it has an emotion. But the sound of the blinking eye is disgusting and distracting. Other players playing with me say they cant hear the blinking very much unless they're very close to me. The extra character slot is the best part of this DLC. Players who cant afford to buy legendary edition or arent sure if they want or need the full game finally have a way to try a cheap version of the game. Without deleting their main character and losing their fame and stash they can finally try new characters and have a sort of "mini" version of legendary edition. They could even use the share stash to keep the items they earn on the character they're trying out before deleting them and trying another one. This also making questing easier if their main character isn't a rogue for disarming traps. This could also lead to people deciding that they do want the full game, and allows iron mace to earn more income. People have money and they want to spend it on things they want. All around a good thing for the health of the game, player base, and ironmace.


Except for the torch skin, the items expire at the end of season. The extra character slot, and extra stash tab, and 10 extra marketplace listing slots wont be there anymore come season 7. Once the wipe happens you lose all items anyway, and your stashes show up empty for next wipe. Where im sure iron mace may sell another DLC similar to this one. Maybe without the 10 extra marketplace slots. Maybe by then there will be a marketplace update since i truly think 10 slots per account isnt enough. I used to have 100 slots (10 per character), and now i have 10.

So there is a chance once the market place opens we see that we still have 10 slots per character made, and also 10 more if you have the DLC. I'll come back with an update if i get new info from discord about the current state of the marketplace that we cant access yet.
If we have 100 slots +10 its not that bad of a p2w thing. If we have 10 slots +10 its very p2w. IronMAce please clarify since people will be buying this before market place opens and they may be disappointed to find out they didn't need it to have many marketplace listing slots.

Good character design, fun abilities, fun game, free.
Some heroes have too many abilities and not enough on screen UI for their cool-downs. Then they have 7+ hotkeys for their abilities. Also game is 3rd person, not my preference.

loving the game, devs are very on top of updates and fixing crashes. i'm so excited to see where this game is going and what gets added. There currently aren't any achievements, but the devs have been very clear that its on the list of to-do.
i highly recommend this game for yourself or as a gift to play with friends

Fun, better on the psvr (eye tracking) and the quest (customizable avatar, and hand tracking) though. I use quest 2 with steamlink and the movement was often completely unresponsive. I couldnt press forward to teleport/dash at all. It would work on and off. But the game is good.
They NEED TO add a way to add friends cross platform. Steam and meta are cross platform but i cant add steam players as friends in-game to invite them. I have to message my friend where i am and meet up.

Needs more social and cheat moderation. slurs in voice chat from everyone like its Rust. and ESP cheaters in most matches. I cant report players unless im spectating them (dead or escaped). Allow me to report cheaters after the match if i survive.

The devs dont care what we want, its all a money grab now. Its unbalanced and boring, mutes and bans are automated and updates seem to have no rhyme or reason. Play something else, spend your money somewhere else. They wont listen to us unless you stop spending money.
Toxic player base is insane. God forbid you're a woman with a mic, its as bad as call of duty.
