For what it is, System Rift a decently sized mission that references Pritchard from DX: Human Revolution while extending on the world presented in the base game, lore-wise and gameplay-wise.
It's nothing spectacular, but much of it, from the plot to the level design to environments, are still meticulously crafted with care.

Only two things particularly stand out to people, to which I may argue:
1) It's not integrated with the main story;
But it's not set too far from the events throughout the game, so even if you finished the main campaign it doesn't detract from your experience.
2) Character inventory and upgrades don't carry over from the base game;
Subjectively, I loved the extra challenge that the resource limitations gave me, especially as its relatively structurally short length after experiencing the rest of the game like someone who asked for this.

Nowadays, we can buy it on sale anyways, and for the price we can get it at in bundles, it's worth it.

This game's got it all: a good story, amazing music, good graphics, fun combat, fire-breathing lizards, a nerdy semi-attractive skeleton man, awesome terrains and settings, oil on fire, pigs on fire, plant secretion on fire, everything on fire,,,,

it even looks aesthetic on its lowest settings! :0

i got to date a skeleton and lizard monster thing so i'm satisfied

just note that you'll probably hate flowers after playing this

I loaf the loading screen, spent 2 hours straight looking at it :D
