I have 500 hours in KF2 and played it since early access, so I'd like to think I know what I'm talking about, though I'm for sure not apart of a special hive mind that HATES this game.

Currently the game is in a WAY better state then it was at launch, though I could still easily see why people don't care for this game yet.

Guns feel better than what they were, perk decoupling finally happened, and the content is slowly catching up to KF2. Though at this rate its going to be awhile.

I think my biggest gripe with the game currently is how slow updates come out. Yes it is a small team, but given how badly this game needs new content, and how unfinished it can feel at times, it's a bit annoying to wait several months for anything.

Another issue I have is the zeds still feel off. Almost like they're not zeds? they don't feel very impactful or deadly. Even on HOE. I still think some tinkering needs to be done in that department. I know a new difficulty comes out next season, I'm kind of just hoping they move HOE to Suicidal and make HOE harder, or something like that. It's really not that difficult when people run and spam the same things.

I can't really comment on performance as I'm not running something that would struggle with a game like this. Though my frames do tend to fluctuate a lot, which is worth mentioning. Work still needs to be done there from what I've seen and hear.

The game honestly isn't bad, just lacking content. (if anything I think its really fun)

It does feel a bit dry in comparison to the final version of KF2 due to this, but this game has launched with a lot more content than KF2 did. The fact KF2 released with 3 maps is still CRAZY to me.

Obviously there are some things that are inexcusable to me. No text chat... Why? The dialogue with some of the characters are pretty bad/cringe, and some of the weapons need a bit of polishing. Nothing game breaking for me, just a bit distracting.

Another issue which I assume will be fixed soon, are the servers. They are a bit buggy and performance overall could be better in general. Though not so frequent to where its bothersome

Perk decoupling will be soon-ish, which to me was the only thing that would've turned me away from this game. Idea of locking skills behind a character is so dumb to me. Luckily that will be erased soon.

Regardless, this game is a good foundation for everything that is to come. I just hope Tripwire can be consistent.

First 3 chapters were really good. 4th was short but sweet.
The last episode.... wtf. Borderline ruined the game for me, it was so bad.
Minus that, I did enjoy the game, and (hopefully) they retcon or fix that mess somehow

I played this game longer than I could've thought. I started playing this when it was in early access some years ago. Truly one of the best co-op shooters there is on this platform. Free content, unlike the last game that had a million DLCs. It's truly better in every way.

A lot of the reviews are very close minded. As far as performance and etc for I, it's all smooth and looks great.

So, I doubt im the only one, but I have been waiting for this release for months. Was it worth it? Not really, but it is in the "Alpha stage" and I can't blame all the bugs, and issues it currently has. It is still a great game, I'm waiting for the saving fix although. It will be a good game when its complete. Naybe ever in the beta, heck maybe before. Don't lose hope in a game like this, it has a lot of potential. Trust me on that, the answer if i think its worth getting it now or not? Yes. Get it. It will be worth it right now, and later on when the price goes higher.
