A honest confession is I have not always been a dull man; I like to think my dullness started about 15 years ago when I quit drinking alcohol. Having a clear head has helped me become tremendously dull as the years have passed. Today will take a lot of work to stay dull. My son's 21st birthday is today, and to add to the excitement, I bought a bottle of whisky on the day of his birth with the plan to open it on this day, take a single shot with him, and continue my lovely dull existence without drinking any more. As this day approached, I realized the tremendous excitement it may cause and thought about how a true dull man would handle the situation, like the men in this group. Instead of taking a shot I have decided to hug my son, tell him I'm proud, but abstain from the excitement of doing a shot and watch the 'wild exciting' people in my family have a drink while I maintain my cool dull persona.

So, I was thinking about how you always insist on watching that same movie every time we have a movie night. Like, seriously, how many times can you watch The Matrix'before you start reciting the lines verbatim? It's like you're stuck in a time loop or something. Maybe you should try watching something different for a change. There are literally thousands of other movies out there. You could even try a documentary or something. Just please, for the love of all that is holy, stop watching The Matrix every single time we have a movie night.
